Logan Wilson on Bengals Matchup With Seahawks
Transcript
00:00 Seattle Seahawks on deck.
00:02 I don't know how they did it,
00:05 but their attack is so balanced,
00:07 like with running and passing.
00:09 They have five touchdowns on the ground,
00:11 five touchdowns through the air.
00:13 How do you guys combat a team like that,
00:15 who is so balanced?
00:16 - Yeah, I mean, they're very efficient
00:17 at both points of attack,
00:19 and I think that that presents a different challenge for us.
00:21 I think that they try to expose some things
00:24 that you might've struggled with in the past,
00:25 and so we gotta know how to correct those things
00:27 and not let them become plays that beat you twice.
00:30 You know, that's our mindset.
00:31 You can't let one play beat you twice,
00:33 and so just learning from what we've done in the past,
00:36 trying to fix those things,
00:37 and then just going forward,
00:39 understanding that they are a good physical football team,
00:41 and it starts up front for them,
00:42 and their quarterback's very efficient,
00:44 and their running backs are really good, so.
00:47 - He's only thrown one touchdown all season long.
00:51 What would it mean for you guys
00:52 to get a few takeaways from him, potentially, on Sunday?
00:54 - Anytime we can get takeaways is huge for this defense
00:56 and for our offense, especially.
00:58 I always say the more times
00:59 we can get the ball back to our offense,
01:00 the better off we're gonna be going into a game,
01:02 because it gives them more opportunities
01:04 to go down and score and put points on the board,
01:05 and at the end of the day, that's what we want.
01:08 - And when you look at film on the Seattle Seahawks,
01:11 do you go back to week one when they played the Rams
01:14 and see what the Rams were able to do to beat them,
01:17 or do you look at all of the film as a whole?
01:19 - I feel like you look at all the stuff that they've ran
01:21 that's been successful and stuff that hasn't been successful,
01:23 and I think that they're gonna try to, obviously,
01:24 do the stuff that's been successful,
01:26 and then try to test your water on some things
01:28 that they've thought that they might be able
01:31 to expose on us.
01:32 They are also coming off a bye week,
01:33 so they've had another extra week to prepare,
01:35 to find some things that we need to be ready for,
01:38 and that's just part of the game.
01:40 - Speaking about complementary football,
01:43 how nice was it to see last week the offense get rolling?
01:46 - Yeah, I mean, that was our most complete game as a team.
01:49 We were actually playing complementary football
01:50 where when we got a stop, the offense went down and scored,
01:54 and then when they didn't score, we got a stop.
01:57 It was just vice versa, and special teams, too.
02:00 That was our first complete game of complementary football,
02:02 and that helps us moving forward.
02:04 - And last question for you.
02:05 Do you feel like you finally turned the corner,
02:07 and now you're on an upward swing, in a way?
02:09 - I never like to say you've made it,
02:13 or you've figured things out.
02:15 I know, but I know what you're saying.
02:16 I just never like to get to that point,
02:19 because then it's like, every game's a new week,
02:21 a new challenge, a new team,
02:22 presents different challenges,
02:24 and it's always the saying, any given Sunday,
02:27 so you've still gotta bring it every single week.
