The Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army has initiated an operation with the goal of reestablishing surface travel links in North Sikkim. The Trishakti Corps troops are receiving support from various organizations, including the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and local residents in the affected areas. They are working together to restore connectivity to isolated villages in the region.

The Trishakti Corps stated in a post that, ""In an endeavor to reconnect North Sikkim, Indian Army troops of Trishakti Corps, along with BRO, ITBP, and local residents, are conducting extensive operations to restore connectivity. They are constructing new footbridges and carrying out restoration work to reconnect Sikkim.""

The primary focus of these operations is on restoring connectivity to North Sikkim via Chungthang, which was the area most severely impacted by the destructive flood that occurred following landslides, according to earlier statements from the Indian Army.
