00:00 Okay then Jax, what did you bring in for the food appeal then?
00:24 I brought in some pine spaghetti.
00:27 Okay then, and Evie how does it make you feel seeing how much food you brought in here?
00:32 I feel happy and it's really good, it helps.
00:39 Okay, what about you Daisy, how does it make you feel seeing how much food you brought in here?
00:43 Really, really good.
00:45 Okay, and how do you feel now in terms of all the food you got here in Handover the Salvation Army?
00:50 I feel good because it's helping people in the local area.
00:54 Has it got help other people?
00:56 It's good.
00:58 Okay then Graeme, how impressed are you with the haul of food which you've got in front of you here?
01:02 This is absolutely fabulous and I really want to say thank you very much to Castleview Primary School
01:07 for all the kind donations, that really makes a difference and we're absolutely thrilled
01:11 to know the staff and the pupils, the support they're giving us and it really does make such a difference.
01:17 And just how big a need is it at the moment in the community?
01:19 It's a massive need unfortunately and again it's only through the kind donations of the young people
01:24 in this location that kind of like help us to kind of like meet the need right across the city of Sunderland
01:29 so it's really very important to us.
01:32 And is the food going to places in Sunderland?
01:34 It does, yes, everything stays in Sunderland.
01:37 We get lots of referrals from different agencies and we make sure that people who are in need
01:42 kind of like get the food to them and make sure they kind of like get all the support
01:47 to make certain that they kind of like can cope with the different pressures
01:50 that are going on within the community today.
01:52 And if anybody does read this or watch this and feels that you know that they need some help,
01:56 need some support in terms of food, what should they do?
01:59 What they should do is initially give us a ring which is 0191 561 8272.
02:05 We'll give them another number which is like a council telephone number where what happens is
02:09 people will ask one or two more interesting questions or invasive questions if I can put it that way
02:15 and actually to make sure that they're getting the right support because the support is there.
02:19 People make a difference and we want to make certain that people are kind of like supported
02:24 and encouraged to engage with other agencies so they get the right support
02:28 and not to feel isolated because it's really important that people reach out
02:33 because the support is there and it's obviously, you know, thankfully through the support of like
02:38 schools like this where people can kind of get that support.
02:42 Yep, just bring more of it.
02:44 That's brilliant.
02:46 That's mixed.
02:50 Drop the floor.
02:52 That was brilliant.
02:54 Just keep moving.
02:56 That's brilliant.
02:58 That's very good.
