00:00 on the NFL slate. We got them all covered. 49ers make a very loud statement against Dallas.
00:04 George Kittle stops by the show. Tim Hasselbeck breaking down some of Brock Purdy's dimes.
00:10 No Super Bowl hangover for Philadelphia. Find out how the Eagles continue their unbeaten
00:15 start to the season. Chiefs overcoming injury scare to Travis Kelsey. Patrick Mahomes makes
00:19 a bit of history and a tight win against the Vikings. But we begin as we do nightly. The
00:24 big game of the day, the showdown by the bay and it turned into an absolute beatdown. All-time
00:32 series between these two, not at 19 worse if you're a Dallas fan. Dak looking deep.
00:43 Brandon Cooks is in the area. Deshaun Gibson got it and here it's all, actually he sort
00:47 of was just casual with return. Rough night for Dak. Play action. And the faithful love
00:56 this. Kyle Juszczyk in. Fullback for the grab. For the touchdown that's Purdy's fourth. The
01:03 deflection. There's Warner. Sunday night victory. After a massive night, it is a play. Niners
01:14 just the sixth. Right? They're going to be good. Now they're gonna be good later. Did
01:18 they demonstrate anything in this game? Vis-a-vis Dallas that was surprising to you? Just sort
01:23 of the difference between who they are and who they are. Well, I would just say how the
01:27 offensive line for San Francisco handled Dallas's defensive front, which is dominated opponents
01:34 at times. I think how you match up against somebody does matter. Pretty good matchup
01:38 for San Francisco. Brock Purdy is interesting because the conversation is so much. You see
01:43 a byproduct of the Shanahan, this, that, or the other thing. I don't know, man. You tell
01:46 me some of these throws tonight, you play the position. Seem pretty spicy to me. Well,
01:51 first I said, I actually love that interview with Kittle because he's like, look, and we're
01:55 putting a lot on him. Like we're, this isn't just everyone around him, but how about some
01:58 of the throws? Here's a good example. First touchdown pass. Look, he's creating offensive
02:02 times. That's outside the design of the play. But then the anticipation on some of these
02:06 in cuts, look, I finished my career as a teammate of Kurt Warner's. His ability to anticipate
02:12 and throw in cuts, I think is the best of the best I've ever played the game. Brock
02:16 Purdy kind of plays with that type of anticipation at times. He doesn't have the big, huge arm
02:22 to overpower things, but what he does is he sees things well and he can anticipate. And
02:27 so now all of a sudden, before guys, even in the first window, he's throwing them into
02:31 the second window. That's how you know, somebody is playing with a lot of confidence and is
02:35 seeing it perfectly.
02:36 I know you probably get sick of me talking confidence, but you see him demonstrate that
02:40 and it helps to know that the guys that are playing on the other side of the ball for
02:44 us are just terrifying. And as we were watching this and you're, you're pointing out to me
02:49 plays these backers are making, and that's why I asked Kittle about it. What specifically
02:53 are they doing? I just think they cover so much ground. So they're smart players. They've
02:57 got great instincts and then they're fast. They fly to the football. And so I think like
03:01 this play here, like they're trying to set a pick on Warner here. He actually cuts off
03:07 the pick and then on his way to make a sack, then they're driving on check downs before
03:11 Dak is even throwing the check down.
03:14 So you're retreating in coverage, taking away some of the deep, deep stuff. And then when
03:18 you anticipate the quarterback coming off of it, you're already driving on the check
03:22 down and then honestly making them pay for it. That was the other thing Kittle was talking
03:26 about is like, no, and they're going to hit you. If you're not ready to be hit, you don't
03:30 want to play these guys for an entire game because they were flying around. I thought
03:34 they were very physical tonight. Try not to overreact. It's only early October, but it
03:39 feels awfully like it. Here's a big out on a limb statement. Philly and San Francisco
03:45 feel like a collision course again. Don't they? Feels like it. Well, I said, people
03:49 get hurt. Those types of things change seasons. But if things stay the same, these quarterbacks
03:55 play like they're playing and these fronts play like they're playing. It doesn't look
03:58 like there's anyone else in the NFC that's going to be in the mix. Detroit lion fans.
04:02 I'm sure on the blow. Hey, listen, you guys are fun. We're going to talk about you later.
04:06 You guys keep yourself while we're going against today. We plan on calling it pretty cool that
04:09 the breaking down that play. We thought maybe he was watching that game, Tim, and saw something
04:13 that said, yeah, let's do that ourselves tonight on national TV. It had to be encouraging.
04:18 No doubt. It had to be. So two five and oh teams, Timmy. They go to Cleveland next week.
04:22 Then they go to Minnesota. We're talking San Francisco between the head coach who seems
04:26 to be in the prime of his coaching life. He seems to have experience and confidence and
04:30 everything he needs. Is this your team? If you had to bet one paycheck on a squad to
04:35 kind of at least win the regular season as being the overall number one seat. Yeah. Unless
04:39 they've got a great track to be the number one overall seat. I think when you look at
04:43 Philadelphia and you look at San Francisco, I think you can go either way. I think you're
04:48 splitting hairs and I think a lot of it depends on where the game is, what the team's health
04:53 is at that point. Obviously that was a big factor a year ago, but you exactly right.
04:58 Poochie, when you talk about Kyle Shanahan, the job he's done with that team, the job
05:02 he's done with that quarterback, the job he does every single week in terms of having
05:07 his team prepared scheme wise with the plays that they run. Look, they're going to be really
05:11 hard to beat. And then on the defensive side of the ball, they've got some real difference
05:16 makers. So they have as good a chance as anybody that between them and Philadelphia. I think
05:21 the rest of the NFC certainly is going to be looking in that direction. Yeah. Third
05:25 quarter, the rep 18, every play they snap, there's three seconds left on the play clock.
05:29 Like there's coaches who don't do that in the fourth quarter. He was doing that in the
05:32 third quarter to milk the rest of the quarter Eagles and Niners don't play in their regular
05:36 season. We'll have to hope we see them in the playoffs. Thanks Tim.
05:40 Brock Purdy yet again, wins in the regular season. That's 10 in a row to start his career
05:45 tied for the second longest streak in NFL history. Only behind big Ben Roethlisberger
05:51 ESPN analytics, by the way, has the 49ers favored in every game, the rest of the way.
05:56 So maybe he can get the extra half dozen to stand alone on the other side of big Ben new
06:02 on sports center, 49ers head coach, Kyle Shanahan.
06:05 I said, you've thought right now on it, this significant, we don't know yet. Um, unfortunately
06:13 it was a higher one. Um, the low ones are the ones you missed the year for us, but we
06:18 don't know if it was strained or pulled yet. So, um, but it was higher considering the
06:22 opponent. Where do you rank this as far as, uh, Purdy's performances as far? Um, I mean,
06:29 he was really good. Everybody was pretty good. Um, but, um, I thought he missed one throw
06:34 throughout the day from what it seems like just a little behind BA in the first quarter
06:38 on one and everything else seemed pretty flawless. He did a great job. There's a real good pass
06:42 rush and tight coverages guys gave him some time. And also the guys made a lot of plays
06:47 to play the trick play, um, touchdown to Kittle had a lot of moving parts to it. How many
06:53 times will you practice that in a week before the game? Um, uh, we just walked through it
07:00 once. Um, it's been, it's been in for a while. We ran into some championship last year. It
07:05 didn't look as good. Christian was that quarterback. It was second half. Um, Detroit ran an early
07:12 earlier in the day, they scored, uh, to report on it. So suddenly we've had him for a little
07:16 bit. We just walked through it throughout the weeks. I mean, every week and keep it
07:20 up for when we need to call it. Did you see the Detroit? Yeah, I saw it before the game.
