00:00 changing the way I prepare, but I'll probably get more reps on the outside,
00:05 with him being down.
00:06 But the same, I always prepare the same way and
00:09 don't wanna overwhelm myself with anything extra because the guy is down.
00:14 But at the end of the day, I always look at myself as that type player.
00:18 I feel like I could do a lot for this team and the more you can do,
00:21 anything they need me to do, I'm gonna go do it.
00:23 >> With his mobility not like that, you made a lot of big plays,
00:28 you made a lot of big third down catches with him running around.
00:33 What do you do?
00:34 I mean, what's the next step if you can't run around like that?
00:40 >> I mean, at the end of the day, I just gotta get open.
00:41 As long as I'm getting open and I mean, he got a lane to throw to me too.
00:46 I mean, that's really all I can do.
00:47 At that point, if he can't move,
00:49 I just gotta make sure I win at the top of the ropes.
00:51 And I feel like that's what I do every single time I step on the field.
00:55 When he scramble, it just allows me to create an extra double move to lose him
00:59 even further, to get even more open, to make a bigger play.
01:04 But I mean, nothing really changed if he's not mobile.
01:06 I just gotta be where I need to be and make sure I catch.
01:08 It's just more contested catches when it's sit back, deliver.
01:13 >> What's the biggest difference for
01:13 you if you're gonna be getting more outside snaps versus playing in the slot?
01:17 >> Nothing really, I'm comfortable with anything.
01:21 I didn't play it outside before several times.
01:24 Very comfortable at it.
01:25 Just the way that we've got three hitter monster, we just play positions.
01:28 That's why I kinda don't play too much of the outside.
01:31 But I'm not really sure.
01:33 I don't really got the game plan this whole week yet.
01:35 So I mean, whatever they need me to do, I'm ready.
01:38 >> How's Joe been?
01:38 Can you feel a sense of frustration for him in that it's probably killing Joe
01:45 to not be able to orchestrate an offense that's scoring more than three points.
01:52 How is he met?
01:54 >> I mean, Joe is Joe.
01:55 He never shows his face.
01:57 He never shows his car.
01:58 That's the good thing I love about him.
02:01 And no matter how he's feeling or what he can and cannot do, he always feel like, and
02:05 he knows that he's our best chance of winning football games.
02:08 Regardless of his ability to do one thing or another,
02:13 our chances of winning is greater with him in there.
02:17 If he can be mobile or not.
02:18 We just gotta be even more dialed in.
02:20 If he can't maneuver as much, we gotta block better.
02:22 We gotta win our routes cleaner.
02:24 We gotta separate better.
02:25 We just gotta do a little bit more for
02:28 him to just continue to be the offensive we once was.
02:32 >> If he was to escape the pocket and run for eight, nine yards,
02:36 something like that, is that something you guys,
02:38 would that be like a whoa moment for you guys?
02:39 Or if he's back, would it have any effect on you guys to see him win?
02:46 >> I mean, not really, cuz at the time being, when you're out there playing
02:49 football, that's what we expect.
02:50 I expect him to run around every single time.
02:52 I mean, and I felt like he would try to maneuver a little bit during last week,
02:57 but it's just the pressure, they were sending zero blitz.
02:59 So it's kind of tough to kind of scramble outside the pocket when everybody's
03:03 crashing down, so you gotta kind of take a deep step back and kind of deliver,
03:07 find an open guy, or check us in some short, something short to get us a catch and run.
03:13 But I mean, I expect him to be a football player every time he stepped foot on
03:16 the field, whatever you gotta expect, the unexpected.
03:18 So I'll be ready for anything.
03:20 >> Obviously, we know how valuable he is.
03:22 Do you relish the role of being able to pick him up a little bit as a team and
03:27 as an offense, knowing that he might not be 100%?
03:29 >> I mean, I haven't seen any weakness from Joe.
03:33 I didn't see no downness.
03:34 I didn't see any unconfidentness in him,
03:39 even if he didn't or felt like he couldn't maneuver or mobile.
03:46 I mean, I really wasn't thinking about it like that.
03:50 I just was just thinking we just gotta get rolling.
03:52 We not executing enough.
03:53 >> I know you're going against the scout team right now, but
03:56 if you think back on training camp, what about the rookie,
03:59 DJ Turner, impressed you when you did go against him?
04:02 >> I mean, yeah, I just felt like he came in with a lot of,
04:06 he was one of the one rookies who came in with a lot of confidence early,
04:10 coming in and making plays.
04:11 Him and DJ Ivy was the two guys who kind of stood out to me
04:15 during camp and you see DJ's playing, Ivy working his way up.
04:19 But I trust in DJ, I feel like he can get the job done.
04:22 He's probably still not as seasoned as the other guys, but you gotta get reps.
04:26 The more reps you get, the more you learn, the more you just gain on.
04:32 >> One rookie to another, what have you seen from Andre Yosovash?
04:35 >> The same thing, man.
04:36 He was one of the same guys who came in confident, man, coming in,
04:40 ready to make plays.
04:41 And I think he's very comfortable in this offense and
04:44 he knows what we need him to do.
04:46 He does it well.
04:47 He didn't really mess up too many steps.
04:49 Every time his name was called, he came in and did what he had to do.
04:52 So I trust in him.
