00:03 It was many years back, probably before 2000s,
00:09 that we started a group, Achek Tourism Society, which
00:12 means tourism society for all entire Garo Hills.
00:16 So we wanted to work for the upliftment of the tourism
00:19 sector.
00:21 We want to go to the villages, educate the village people,
00:24 and then tell them about the assets
00:27 that they have to protect and preserve
00:30 the caves, the waterfalls, the trekking trails.
00:33 And we want to educate them so that they
00:36 can earn something from these assets for their own benefits.
00:42 We have brought up so many positive changes
00:46 in different parts of Garo Hills, not only in Tura,
00:49 not only in West Garo Hills.
00:52 The pinnacle that we want to reach
00:54 is we want to see Garo Hills in the map of Indian tourism map
00:58 as one of the best destinations in the state
01:02 and in the country.
01:04 (upbeat music)
01:06 you
