00:03 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman. I'm going to jump in and take it for a drive, and at the end
00:08 I'll bring you a verdict.
00:10 Behind the wheel of the Ram 1500 Tradesman, you can't help but appreciate
00:27 how nicely it drives. It's not like an old bumpy pickup truck, but very
00:32 modern, you know, almost like an SUV, and that's thanks to the exclusive coil-link
00:37 suspension that gives it a smoother ride, and this very quiet cabin, the responsive
00:42 engine. The Tradesman is still made for work and still tows and hauls just as
00:49 well as any other pickup truck, but does a lot more nicely. Ram has really made a
00:55 name for itself with high-end interiors and its top-level trucks, and the
01:00 Tradesman still gets that same great design, but with more durable materials
01:04 that'll last for years of hard work.
01:08 The Tradesman comes standard with a 3.6 liter e-torque V6, backed up by an
01:17 8-speed automatic, and the e-torque system is a mild hybrid that takes some
01:21 of the stress off of the engine and gives you better fuel economy and better
01:24 emissions, and you can also get it with the V8 engine. So what's the verdict?
01:30 Well, we wish the base engine might have a little more torque, but we think that
01:35 with great fuel economy and handsome good looks and a long list of features
01:39 that the Ram 1500 is the best in class.
