00:00 Leader, I got up this morning to raise the call that the Northern and Western Regional Assembly has made in relation to the whole North West area and I suppose the counties that they cover,
00:21 Dundee Gald, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, Cavan and Monaghan and you being from that area, you're very much aware of the deficit in that whole region.
00:35 I suppose going back to when the EU gave that whole region an objective one status and really what that was about was levelling up to ensure that we got our spend per capita in line with the rest of the country.
00:54 That's over 20 years ago now and we're still in the same position where we're playing catch up and I think the report this morning is very, very welcome and timely and just before budget and I ask you to implore upon you that you give a very good strong sense of this to government.
01:12 It's really important. It's really important from the point of view, I know yourself Leader, have been very strong in relation to rail lines along the Western Seaboard.
01:22 The N17 which isn't progressing, the Galway bypass, the N2A5 which has been lobbied for for well over 20 years for the lack of rail line across that whole region.
01:38 Many counties there with no rail, it's unacceptable. On the back of that then, because the N2A5 hasn't progressed, the 10T project is sitting with the Department of Transport now waiting to move to the next phase, the next step and I know it's been assessed.
01:57 I think the quicker it moves on the better. So I'll ask you to raise that report with government.
