00:46 There's an ongoing search for a missing person in the sea after unconfirmed reports that a man was seen jumping off Blackpool's central pier last night.
00:56 Around 10 police cars, the Coast Guard and a helicopter were spotted at the pier around 5.30pm on Wednesday 20th September and remained at the scene over 2 hours later.

01:14 A secondary school in Lancaster was forced to shut after a power cable was cut during building work.
01:21 Central Lancaster High School in Crag Road was closed on Wednesday and remains shut today.
01:27 An open evening has also had to be rescheduled due to the issue.
01:32 In a letter to parents and carers, Executive Head Teacher John Cowper said that the main power cable to the school had been accidentally cut by one of the diggers on the building site.

01:48 A group of musical pals in Burnley have united to help those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
01:57 The five ladies are hosting a night of live music to raise money for a bereavement counselling service aimed at people who have been affected by suicide.
