00:00 was absolutely fantastic. I loved all the flashbacks, seeing the interactions
00:05 with Anakin and Ahsoka, getting some live-action Clone Wars. The girl that
00:09 played young Ahsoka was also young Gamora. Which I mean yes she's fantastic
00:15 I should have noticed. She absolutely crushed that role. I thought it was I
00:20 mean she's very used to wearing face paint that's for sure. Yeah I think
00:24 seeing those two interact together is what made the internet go nuts for the
00:28 idea of having live-action Clone Wars content because Hayden's not gonna be
00:33 young forever. Him in that role is just amazing. It feels so good to have him
00:37 back and her as young Ahsoka it was flawless. She's such a good actress
00:44 like awesome job. She's yeah she's got a very bright future ahead of her and the
00:50 final lesson that Anakin gave Ahsoka I thought it was amazing and watching
00:54 Anakin go back and forth between the dark and the light in those interactions
01:00 I love how it was a clear distinction where you saw Anakin he was a little bit
01:06 more precise with his dueling and when he was Vader he was way more aggressive
01:11 and powerful and it was like you could tell like oh shit he's Anakin there
01:15 he's Vader there and I just I feel like I can gush over that episode all day
01:20 long and I have since the episode aired it feels like but the lesson is an
01:25 awesome one and he gave Ahsoka the choice to live or die and she chose life
01:29 and the fact that when she was dueling Vader as grown-up Ahsoka in the world
01:35 between worlds she actually used the same technique that Anakin used to
01:39 defeat Dooku which was amazing and it's like the lesson was about letting go I
01:44 think it's a very clear message that Ahsoka needed to let go of her guilt
01:49 walking away from Anakin this idea that she had anything to do with his turn
01:54 that's all gone and the message and the way it was delivered and using all the
02:00 flashbacks and the interactions and the like those were some of the best
02:04 lightsaber duels I mean this show has killed it with the lightsaber duels but
02:08 like that moment watching them fight was just so epic and I just can't wait to
02:12 see where this goes I would actually be surprised if we see Anakin again
02:16 because I feel like his job it's done he delivered the message his final message
02:23 and the irony of all of this I've seen some chatter about this Anakin's dream
02:27 his desire his goal was to always be able to save the people that he loved
02:32 from dying that is ultimately what turned him to the dark side because
02:35 Apadme wanted to save her and that's essentially where he is now he was able
02:39 to save Ahsoka from death right and he has become so powerful it's just I loved
02:45 everything about it like I said I could gush over it all day long but we got an
02:48 episode to watch because we are off to an entirely new galaxy and this sounds
02:52 like it's going to be awesome we are riding in the mouth of a whale which is
02:56 really cool it's so dope I mean seeing the purgle in live action has been so
03:02 cool and there was like that one shot like the super close profile like those
03:06 things are damn cute they're cute and just watching her get on like after that
03:11 whole interaction her being Ahsoka the white which she looked fucking fly and
03:16 white she looked so good her being able to communicate with them getting the
03:20 biggest one opening its mouth we're just gonna go hang out right there and using
03:25 them to ride into into the sunset to go find Ezra and Thrawn and there's another
03:29 interesting crossover I don't know if you remember from season 3 of
03:34 Mandalorian we saw the purgle but Grogu like looked up and like sent something
03:38 there's speculation that that happened as she was flying because that season
03:45 and this season they're supposed to overlap this wasn't been the same
03:47 timeline okay so that would be pretty wild if Grogu's like oh hey Ahsoka she's
03:51 traveling on a purgle right now that'd be pretty insane I don't know if there's
03:54 any confirmation or denial about that being true or not but that'd be pretty
03:59 cool but we're off to this new world I cannot wait to see Thrawn I hope we get
04:03 to see him in this episode hope to see Ezra can't wait to see these characters
04:07 live-action this show has been absolutely fantastic it's been so much
04:10 fun it's been so well done ready for the next episode yes let's go

04:25 now I really have done it all I remember them from the stories you would tell us
04:31 and we were younglings back at the temple I had history of the galaxy
04:35 partners one two and three one being the best of course I still have those
04:40 stories in my archive memory would you like to hear one not right now perhaps

04:50 Sabine she went with the enemy willing yeah I saw it through the force when I
04:55 held the map that is troubling has to be a reason though she could have ended
05:00 this no throne no war but that means no Ezra Ezra she was fated to make that
05:11 choice there wasn't enough time to prepare her to make the right one the
05:15 force provides you with insight but it does not give one all the answers perhaps
05:21 for Sabine it was the only choice it was there was no other option a choice she
05:32 made for herself that is your fear and second thought tell me one of those
05:36 stories your choice very well a long time ago in a galaxy far far away that
05:46 is awesome stop it that is pretty cool that was neat I like that far far away I
06:01 was hoping for a room with a view you find your situation confining a bit I
06:06 would think this would be an opportunity for reflection I try to avoid that I can

06:47 out of the ballpark and like every aspect of like visual storytelling that
06:53 is to Rydia the ancient homeworld my ancestors the Dathomir II the end of the
07:00 migration route used by the star whales as they traverse the void from one
07:04 galaxy to the other very cool my people were among the first to harness and ride
07:09 the creatures the whales came here to die Rydia is a graveyard yikes that's not

27:02 are really cool I thought they did an amazing job casting he was the voice of
27:08 Thrawn and rebels I believe okay I love that when the characters that voice and
27:14 actor get to actually play yeah the character it fits so perfectly he just
27:19 like he's so nemesis his voice his tone he's always so cool calm and collected
27:26 and just like the fact right there at the end where he found out Ahsoka was
27:31 coming he wanted to find out everything about her and he's the type of person
27:36 who will collect his enemies art and analyze and study the art that they
27:41 collect because it tells you a lot about the person and he uses that against his
27:45 enemies interesting he is like he interesting is the perfect word to
27:50 describe him he's super smart he's very calculated the really interesting thing
27:55 from heir to the Empire spoiler report if anyone hasn't read that there was a
28:00 line in there talking about if Ron was in charge then the Empire would have
28:05 defeated the rebels in the original trilogy and not Vader because there was
28:10 like a speculation like oh Vader made it too personal and because of a whole
28:13 loop thing understanding you know emotion kind of ruins it yeah so like
28:17 there was a interesting line in there kind of a little bit of shade just
28:20 basically saying like if Ron was in charge the Empire would still be in
28:24 power kind of thing so he's the first ever grand animal who isn't human so
28:29 he's the first alien grand admiral that Palpatine ever ranked up that high so
28:33 he's an amazing character and being able to see him live-action I hope we get a
28:38 lot of opportunity just to tell the story with him and let it go and tell
28:42 many seasons with Ron and make him the main villain for a bunch of content from
28:46 here on out in this time zone because the possibilities are endless right now
28:52 and obviously we're building to the first order so like there's gonna have
28:56 to be a bridge somewhere and Snokes and out the pop-up somewhere at some point
29:00 and I mean I wonder if I don't know how they're gonna bridge that gap it's gonna
29:05 be interesting to see how it goes because between this show Mandalorian
29:09 and then supposedly there's gonna be like a Filoni verse which is what this
29:14 whole all these shows are considered like there's gonna be like a movie to
29:17 cap it all off I don't know yeah I don't know how much farther Mandalorian is
29:21 gonna go or how far this show is gonna go or book of Boba Fett if that comes
29:24 back but it's all gonna tie it's all in the same world same timeline building to
29:29 the same thing so it's gonna be interesting how this all plays out but I
29:33 said it during the episode the casting of the rebels animated characters I
29:38 think they look great Ezra I thought they nailed it like you heard his voice
29:42 in the hologram and earlier episode spot-on I think it's perfect I don't he
29:48 also the voice actor no okay I don't believe so I don't think so but because
29:53 he was a lot younger in novels that he is now but I didn't like that Sabine was
29:58 a little kind of holding back information from him like obviously it's
30:04 like first time meeting you're happy that you guys you found him and you guys
30:07 embraced and I said she needs to tell him about they're being hunted but she
30:11 doesn't know that they're being hunted right but just the idea that he asked
30:15 like did it work it's like yeah kinda but your whole plans about to get
30:21 unraveled because everything that's happening and she didn't say anything
30:26 about that so well as far as she knows it's okay instead well no I'm just
30:29 talking about the fact that Balin got there with Elspeth and like the plan is
30:35 to get thrown out of there and get back to their world yeah so yes the plan
30:40 worked for a long time but now it's it's potentially gonna be in a lot of danger
30:45 because you get thrown back to that world and you start building up that
30:48 fleet it's gonna be a problem because he is a problem and he's gonna cause a lot
30:53 of chaos for the New Republic because I think the New Republic has proven to not
30:58 really be that in tune with what the hell's going on they're completely
31:01 rejecting the idea that Thrawn's alive or his returns even possible and so
31:06 obviously they're gonna collapse at some point and we see that later in the sequel
31:11 trilogy but it's just I want her to be honest with Ezra it's like oh hey by the
31:17 way here's your lightsaber I was holding on for you I kind of modified it a
31:20 little bit but I mean yeah I feel like the first meeting didn't want to get him
31:25 too riled up maybe maybe maybe she just wanted to enjoy it's been a long time I
31:31 was hoping that she would have a little bit more emotion yeah run and like hug
31:34 that's what I was expecting I mean just the way that she talks about him and
31:39 like the you know I just figured there'd be way more especially the sacrifice she
31:44 made to keep the map intact and get it to go and you found him geek out a little
31:50 bit have a freakout moment like I did when I saw Thrawn I mean he looked great
31:54 his stormtroopers look great his right hand dude that paralysis demon that
32:00 amazing it just looks like it looks so cool I just I'm so impressed with this
32:07 show I love the fun kind of goofy moments if very much felt like Leia
32:13 meeting the Ewoks for the first time and then meeting all the creatures and being
32:17 on this new world it it was funny and it was enjoyable and stuff like that's
32:21 meant to be fun and I thought it was a lot of fun it kind of broke the tension
32:25 up from the episode a little bit but I continue to be so intrigued by Balin and
32:30 Shin like the two of them the way Balin talks about the past he was about her
32:35 age when order 66 happened there was a lot of speculation do you remember in
32:39 revenge of the Sith where the kid comes out from behind the chair when Anakin's
32:43 killing everyone and he's like master Skywalker what do we do there's like
32:48 speculation that he was the kid but he was too young like he wasn't old enough
32:52 but I hope we get some kind of flashback at some point to see how he survived and
32:56 got out of the whole thing because again yeah he's just a super fascinating
33:02 character and his presence on screen is just it's massive like anyone else who's
33:08 there he's stealing all the limelight like you see him you're like that dude
33:12 is fucking scary and he just controls the room and damn it Ray I wish you were
33:17 still here with us because again being able to gush over your character I wish
33:21 you knew how much we all loved what you're doing with this because it's just
33:25 so good and it's just really unfortunate because I mean obviously we don't know
33:29 what the future of these two characters are but with him not being with us
33:33 anymore I don't know if they would like try to recast him for later because you
33:38 know if you carry that man I don't know how anyone can live up to that no but he
33:44 seemed very content staying there because something was speaking to him
33:49 which I also thought was quite interesting but yeah something's
33:55 connecting with him while he's there so I can only say yeah I like that it felt
34:00 kind of like a Viking situation where they found like a new land and they want
34:06 to like take when they turn around and you see their backs and they you they're
34:10 like their whole getup I I have Viking feelings all over it showing up to a new
34:16 place and kind of being content with it and wanting to like the ruins and things
34:21 and it's like Viking very cool I thought it was very cool very well that's with
34:26 Viking content it's her favorite and I mean I love it but yeah I thought that
34:31 was another banger of an episode I just love where this is going I'm so happy
34:34 they didn't save Thrawn for the final episode of the season we're gonna get
34:38 some time with him see him a little bit more you get to meet and learn more
34:42 about him which again I'm so fascinated by him I can't wait to see what you
34:46 think about him and seeing how he interacts with people and plans things
34:50 and I mean when he attacks he attacks but he's also not scared to lose which
34:56 is really interesting when he when something like not in his favor he's
35:00 like let's get out of here let's go cuz he's smart like he's very strategic and
35:04 he knows what a battle is lost. He's not gonna fight to the death. Correct he's not gonna lose his entire fleet just to try to prove a point.
35:09 He's very strategic so yeah I'm happy we got him earlier than the finale and we
35:16 got a handful of episodes left I can't wait to see where it goes.
