00:42 - In all of our research,
00:49 we find that really consumers, they're very simple.
00:52 They're really looking for three things,
00:54 three things that will move them
00:56 to really change their behaviors and their lifestyles.
01:01 They want to save money, they want to save time,
01:04 and they want to save the planet.
01:07 And if we build value propositions
01:09 that are just that simple,
01:11 we're gonna save you time, save money, and save the planet,
01:15 then we're likely to appeal
01:16 to the largest majority of those consumers.

01:21 - There's one key message that we can bring,
01:26 at least here, to Norway,
01:28 and that is that the people switching
01:30 to electric cars are very happy.
01:31 And we do a survey every year,
01:36 and 8,000 of Norwegians are asked how they are satisfied,
01:41 and 94% are satisfied, are very satisfied.
01:46 And we hear, "I will never go back to a combustion engine.
01:50 It just feels old-fashioned."
01:52 (upbeat music)
01:54 - Other countries' experiential policy and regulation
01:58 are pivotal in adopting BESS.
02:00 So this is certainly.
02:03 Like in Malaysia, sometimes we say, "Go,"
02:05 and then we say, "Well, it's too expensive, no need."
02:07 So we have to be firm.
02:09 If we say, "Go," means go,
02:10 and please allocate sufficient budget for it
02:12 so that we can put the system inside it.

02:18 - Green is an infrastructure,
02:20 just as much as it is your gray,
02:23 your technology, and all the rest of it.
02:25 Green is an infrastructure that we need today
02:29 to mitigate climate change.
02:30 And I'll illustrate that a little bit more,
02:32 because Singapore is basically measuring sensors
02:35 and all the rest of it in the built environment
02:38 to mitigate climate change
02:40 by putting in more green infrastructure into our cities.
02:44 So green pockets, I'm fortunate to live
02:48 in probably Desepak City.
02:49 We have a park in the middle there,
02:51 and we're just seeing more of these housings
02:54 being built with greenery around it.
02:59 So yeah, greenery can bring down the temperature
03:02 by five to seven degrees.
03:04 It's a science, it's a fact.

03:51 - In 2021, TNB established our net zero commitments.
03:56 And since then, we have been going at full speed
04:03 in implementing our 2050 energy transition pathway,
04:08 which basically aim to achieve three main objective.
04:14 One, to accelerate generation decarbonization.
04:21 Two, develop a flexible and cross-border grid.
04:26 And last but not least, to empower cross-sector
04:31 electrification and pro-swimmers.
04:34 And as a national utility, what was important for us
04:40 was balancing the energy trilemma
04:43 while enabling the nation's economic growth.
