00:03 Although stoats, also known as weasels, are small creatures,
00:06 they are active and ambitious predators
00:09 spinning a huge geographic range,
00:11 including significant portions of North America,
00:16 Europe, and Asia.
00:17 The female stoat in this video raids a woodpecker's nest.
00:23 As she sneaks into the nest,
00:28 you can see her pull the dead woodpeckers out of the nest.
00:31 When the stoat finally leaves,
00:39 the parents return to see what happened
00:41 and realize that the nest has been emptied.
00:45 In this video, a team of experts
00:50 were studying the behavior of the gray shrike.
00:55 But the images also revealed how a weasel visited the nest
00:59 and attacked the birds.
01:00 Weasels, unlike other predators,
01:08 tend to kill or harm multiple birds,
01:10 if not entire flocks, in a single attack.
01:14 They also prefer to drink the target animal's blood
01:17 rather than eating significant amounts of flesh.
01:24 Stoats kill a variety of prey,
01:26 but I have not seen them kill snakes very often.
01:29 However, it's the case in this video,
01:32 and the snake isn't small.
01:34 I don't know if it's venomous, probably not,
01:40 since the stoat dispatched it quite easily.
01:43 I don't know if the snake was alive right here.
01:47 To be frank, there isn't much of the snake left.
01:52 A man saw a rare thing in the back of their garden.
01:55 When they looked out, it was a stoat chasing a rabbit.
01:58 The rabbit is bigger than the stoat,
02:03 but the stoat is stronger.
02:05 The weasel in this video was precise.
02:10 He killed the rabbit in no time
02:12 before dragging the dead animal away.
02:15 Just look at how small the stoat is in this video
02:18 when it attacks a beautiful white fluffy bunny.
02:22 But the bunny's friend, a curious dog,
02:24 comes to the bunny's rescue and chases the stoat away.
02:28 I hope for this stoat's sake, he managed to hide quickly.
02:32 In our thumbnail, it looks like this stoat
02:34 is performing open heart surgery on a squirrel,
02:37 but it's actually devouring the small rodent for breakfast.
02:40 Stoats are not very big, but they hunt like lions.
02:44 Despite their small size,
02:47 they can hunt animals up to 10 times their size,
02:50 such as rabbits.
