12MP review: Big boost for tiger conservation

Measures to protect the increasingly threatened Malayan Tiger (Panthera tigris jacksoni) will strengthened to ensure ecosystem balance while preserving the environment's sustainability, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said this when tabling the 12th Malaysia Plan mid-term review in Parliament on Monday (Sept 11), adding that the government would also intensify efforts in expanding Sustainable Development Goals at the localised level, through empowerment of state governments, local authorities and communities.
