00:00 Londoners were given a pretty cool surprise when a lifelike robotic leopard
00:03 was let loose in London's Trafalgar Square. Lily is a lifelike and life-size
00:07 robot leopard and measuring just over 4 feet long, she has 40 moving parts, most
00:11 of which are focused on her face. If you look at the leopard's face, you realize
00:15 that life really is captured in the eyes. It's all in the eyes. Her creator John
00:20 Nolan is well known for creating that gruesome, scary baby Voldemort in the
00:24 Harry Potter series. And now Nolan has teamed up with National Geographic for
00:28 Big Cat Week, bringing awareness to how humans are really encroaching on
00:31 leopards territory, giving them fewer and fewer places to go. Just like we have
00:35 foxes roaming around here at night, the loss of habitat has left leopards no
00:39 choice but to share territory with humans, which is placing the animals at
00:42 growing risk. There is some irony here because he's using a robotic leopard to
00:47 bring attention to the live animal and here we are killing off the live animal,
00:50 which is soon gonna be replaced with the robot. It's really sad actually. As far as
00:56 robotic animals go, Lily is not the first of her kind. Scientists at the Essex
01:00 University in London came up with this very realistic robot fish. LaData said,
01:05 "Whoa! Very realistic!" And SweetieGirl said, "A robot underwater? Wait, how is that
01:10 possible?" With robotic animals looking more and more like the real thing, it is
01:14 actually kind of crazy to think that this might be where we're headed. Except
01:17 there is something to be said about a robotic pet. I mean, you don't have to
01:20 feed it, it doesn't poop, it doesn't shed, but can it love? How would you react if
01:25 you saw this robotic leopard on the street. For more trends like these, head
