00:00 The first alarm was raised in Marikina River last night.
00:03 Then the water level rose to 15.3 meters.
00:07 The search for the man who jumped into the river yesterday to take a bath is still going on.
00:13 Sandra Aguinaldo is the witness.
00:15 She is the one who is waiting for her child who is not sure if she will return.
00:23 Gloria Raselli is watching the river in Marikina where she last saw her child.
00:30 Around 3.30 pm yesterday,
00:32 Jerome, 22 years old, jumped into the river to take a bath.
00:38 He found it in the barangay in Marikina City where they also live.
00:43 I was still asking for my grandfather.
00:45 There was nothing I could do because of the strong rain, wind and water.
00:53 His child did not drink and he can swim but the water level was high.
01:00 Earlier, there was no rain and the water level was lower.
01:05 But there was a storm in Gloria's heart.
01:09 I called them hoping they will find my child and bring him back to me even if he is dead.
01:18 Marikina Rescue 161 circled the Marikina River until the Mangahan floodway in Pasig City.
01:26 Although the water level is lower than 15 meters, and the weather is better, the storm is still strong.
01:35 We are here under Marcos Bridge.
01:38 We are in quarantine.
01:40 We were on a search and retrieval mission at 8 am.
01:45 We are hoping that after 24 hours, the victims of the flood will be able to swim.
01:55 Marikina City Risk Reduction and Management Office reminds people not to swim in the Marikina River.
02:02 They are asking for public cooperation to stop or report to the authorities if they see people swimming here.
02:11 The Philippine Coast Guard and the rescue team of Barangay Tomana are also helping in finding the victims.
02:18 For GMA Integrated News, I am Sandra Aguinaldo, your witness.
