A major water main burst on the A45 Coventry Road towards Birmingham caused disruption on Thursday morning as roads and lanes were closed in the area while services worked to fix the leak. Diversions were put in place for buses including the X1.

Police are appealing for help in finding a man after a dog he was walking attacked another dog and badly injured its 76-year-old owner. The victim was out with her labradoodle on in Handsworth when the dog, believed to be a bull breed, charged at them. She was knocked to the ground and spent four days in hospital.

This video shows the moment a man threw a brick at the Aston Villa team bus as it left Burnley on Sunday. Bricks were thrown, causing significant damage to the bus after they hit the windscreen shortly before 5.15pm. Nobody on board was injured.
