00:00 I have to tell you, I'm so happy to be sitting down
00:02 with you here today for a multitude of reasons.
00:05 But I think the number one reason is I'm just so happy
00:07 to be celebrating you and your good health.
00:09 - Thank you.
00:10 - A little over a year ago,
00:12 I know it was a much different story.
00:15 You were hospitalized, you were suffering a number
00:17 of very serious health complications.
00:20 - Absolutely.
00:21 - What happened?
00:22 - Well, it started very suddenly.
00:26 I was doing very well and then I just started collapsing
00:31 and lost my ability to walk.
00:34 And I think I spent about nine months in the hospital.
00:39 They could not put their finger on what it was.
00:41 They diagnosed me with a multitude of things.
00:44 First, Guillain-Barre, then it was so many different things.
00:48 And the emotional rollercoaster of being told that,
00:53 oh, you may have blood cancer
00:55 or you may have Guillain-Barre, like so many things.
00:58 So I finally got to the point where I was like,
01:03 I have to take my health into my own hands.
01:05 So I put myself in a wheelchair
01:07 and I wheeled myself out of the hospital.
01:09 - I cannot believe that you busted yourself
01:12 out of the hospital.
01:13 Tell me, how did that all work?
01:15 Was it just as simple as I'm ripping these cords out
01:18 and I'm getting out of here?
01:19 - It really was that simple.
01:20 I had been thinking about the fact
01:22 that I wasn't seeing any progression.
01:26 I wasn't feeling better.
01:27 And I was just feeling stagnant
01:30 and they were just testing me and taking blood.
01:33 And I just felt terrible.
01:36 And I think a lot of it,
01:37 the emotional aspect of being sequestered
01:41 and nobody's coming to see you
01:43 and just not knowing what's going on around you,
01:46 I just decided like, good or bad,
01:49 I'm getting out of here
01:50 and I'm gonna go at it holistically.
01:53 And since I did that,
01:56 I have regained my ability to walk.
02:01 And one of my major issues was the loss of memory.
02:06 I was having a lot of memory issues
02:08 and I lost years and years and years of my life.
02:13 So I started going to a cognitive therapist
02:18 that puts you through puzzles and all these things
02:20 and everything just started reconnecting.
02:23 And I do hyperbaric chambers and I do NAD treatments,
02:26 all holistic and it's worked.
02:29 - I understand that you were told
02:32 you had six months to a year to live.
02:34 - Yes.
02:35 - Did you ever actually believe that?
02:37 - I think when I was first told
02:42 that I didn't have very long to live,
02:47 to be honest, I think I just balled up.
02:50 I didn't really know how to digest that.
02:53 So I took myself out of the situation
02:56 and I said, I'm not gonna let this happen.
02:58 I refuse, I'm not gonna go down like that.
03:02 So I ended up just taking everything into my own hands
03:06 and making it happen.
03:07 I knew that I still had so much life left to live
03:11 and now I just, I finally feel like sunshine again.
03:14 - The smile on your face really tells me everything.
03:17 You have so much life in your eyes.
03:19 Do you feel back to 100%?
03:22 - I don't think I'm at 100%.
03:24 I think I'm running at about 75, 78%.
03:28 - I'll take it, I'll take it.
03:30 - So I mean, coming from a 10%, I'm feeling really good.
03:35 I'm training every other day, I'm eating perfectly.
03:42 And it's just like, and I also have a great partner.
03:45 I'm married and I'm just really happy.
03:48 - You recently opened up on Instagram
03:50 about this health journey that you're on.
03:52 - A lot of people are addressing my weight loss.
03:55 I'm just minding my health.
03:57 I am back keto and I'm doing a little bit
04:01 of intermittent fasting.
04:02 - How's the whole regimen going?
04:04 - Well, I think that when it comes to diets,
04:07 they think keto is a fad diet.
04:09 But if you really look into how it makes you feel,
04:14 'cause everybody's different.
04:16 Keto might make some people feel bad,
04:18 but for me, I feel myself coming back to life
04:22 when I eat correctly.
04:24 And intermittent fasting for me,
04:26 what it does is it kind of resets my metabolism.
04:30 Coming out of the hospital and being on so many medications
04:35 that they had me on, once I got out,
04:37 I started intermittent fasting and it reset me.
04:40 And I felt like all my nerve endings starting to fire again.
04:44 I think it's an important message to people everywhere
04:47 that sometimes you have to take your health
04:50 into your own hands and just do what feels right to you
04:55 because doctors don't know everything,
04:58 so follow your heart.
04:59 - Happy early 50th.
05:01 - Thank you.
05:01 I can't believe I made it to half a century.
05:04 - Oh, I can.
05:05 You're the epitome of resilience.
05:06 Are you kidding me?
05:07 - I'm a bounce back queen.
05:08 - You are.
05:09 - Yeah.
05:10 - And with a big milestone birthday,
05:12 is there one goal that you have for yourself personally
05:15 and one goal you have for yourself professionally?
05:17 - Well, I just wanna continue being happy.
05:24 That's the most important to me
05:26 because when I'm settled inside,
05:28 then I'm able to push that out to everybody in my life.
05:31 And obviously, me and my wife,
05:35 we were thinking about what could we do
05:37 that's really crazy and special?
05:39 And I'm like, I've always wanted to go on the Orient Express.
05:43 - Oh, wow.
05:44 - So I feel like that's gonna be what we're gonna do.
05:47 - Bucket list.
05:48 - And take a month-long trip, train trip.
05:50 - You deserve it.
05:51 Wow.
05:52 Okay, that's a pretty iconic way to ring in 50.
05:54 - That's what I'm talking about.
05:56 - It's been 15 years since you retired
05:59 from the world of adult films.
06:01 Are you retired for good
06:02 or would you ever consider a return?
06:05 (laughing)
06:07 - I could not imagine ever doing adult movies again.
06:11 I really ran my course and it was such a beautiful trip
06:15 that I wouldn't want to mess it up
06:17 by trying to make a comeback.
06:19 Plus, I'm grown.
06:21 - When all is said and done,
06:23 what do you hope your legacy is?
06:26 - I want to be remembered as a fighter.
06:29 I want to be remembered as a woman
06:31 that played the game by her own rules and kicked ass.
06:36 That's the most important to me.
06:39 You know, no matter what was ever thrown at me,
06:42 I hit it out of the stadium.
06:45 So, you know, I'm on my comeback, my 10th comeback.
06:49 - But that's it, that's the whole point, right?
06:51 Is that you can have a million comebacks
06:53 as long as you come back happier, healthier than ever.
06:56 What do you think you're gonna be most proud of
06:58 at the end of the day?
07:00 - Listen, I am absolutely 100%,
07:05 no doubt, the most proud of my children.
07:09 My children are beautiful, smart,
07:11 and well-adjusted, and funny, you know?
07:15 I'm just really proud that I was able to
07:19 give birth to three beautiful humans.
07:22 So that, to me, is my legacy.
07:24 - What do they make of your life?
07:27 - My kids, they don't see me as Jenna Jameson.
07:30 They just see me as their weird mom.
07:32 (laughing)
07:33 I make school lunches, and I drive them
07:36 back and forth to school, and all those kind of things.
07:38 So I'm very normal on the day-to-day.
07:41 No makeup, no nothing, so.
07:43 - What does Jessie make of your past?
07:45 Was she a fan?
07:46 - Yes, Jessie was a fan.
07:50 I guess her best friend growing up
07:52 had a huge poster of me on her wall.
07:55 So yeah, she was very well aware of me and my lifestyle.
08:00 - She manifested you in a weird way.
08:02 - I think she did.
08:04 She doesn't really believe in the whole manifestation thing,
08:07 but I am a big believer in it.
08:10 And now she's starting to understand
08:13 how that kind of stuff works.
08:15 You focus your power and it happens.
08:17 And look, we're married and super happy.
08:21 And it's funny, 'cause every once in a while
08:23 she'll look at me and be like,
08:25 "I can't believe I married Jenna Jameson."
08:27 (laughing)
08:30 (chimes)
08:32 (swoosh)
