00:00I've got so much to talk to you about, but I gotta ask about this incredible head-to-toe
00:03dolce.
00:04Oh, yes.
00:05Head-to-toe dolce.
00:06I'm not gonna lie.
00:07I saw the campaign they did with Miley Cyrus, and I was like, I've been dying to wear something
00:12like that.
00:13So if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
00:14Oh, you are.
00:15You know?
00:17You look amazing.
00:19And talk about, I mean, this must be a pinch-me moment to be part of the parade.
00:23Oh, I'm really thrilled.
00:25I was thrilled to even, you know, have the opportunity.
00:28I literally won an Oscar and then got on a plane and headed to London to start working
00:33on this film.
00:34So I have a feeling I got there and was a little overwhelmed, but everyone was so lovely
00:39with me, and I had the best time working with Aaron.
00:42And I think, you know, the Sony Marvel Universe, all of these films, they allow people to just
00:49go to the theaters and dream and root for these characters and yell at these characters
00:55and ask questions.
00:58I think it can be really wonderful entertainment, and it also can allow people to dream bigger
01:03dreams and ask bigger questions.
01:06I say all of that, also fully acknowledging that we are a rated R film.
01:10But I do think you have to make something for everyone, and I think our film does that.
01:16First of all, I love the little mic drop.
01:19After winning my Oscar and hopping on a plane.
01:21Very casual.
01:22So not normal, but casual.
01:25Talk about, that might be a super unique, just you experience.
01:29You know what, there's a really wonderful clip of Michelle Yeoh winning her Oscar and
01:33then going back to shoot Wicked, and that's sort of what it is.
01:38I can't believe I have anything in common with Michelle Yeoh, but that's awesome.
01:41Speaking of Wicked, with all the hype and success it's gotten, has it made you guys
01:45think about maybe an adaptation of Hamilton?
01:55You know, I wouldn't know, you'd have to ask Lynn.
02:01We made our live action, we filmed the stage production, and that lives on Disney+, you're
02:07free to watch it anytime you like.
02:10But I don't know, I don't know if personally it was such a special experience, I don't
02:18know if I can imagine what that would actually look like.
02:21Which is a first.
02:22I don't know that I've ever said that about anything, but yeah, there you go.
02:25What is the emotions, maybe?
02:26Because it is, it's like these are your babies that you bring to life on stages we know so
02:30different than what we see on screen, and you've done it, it's been like 10 years since
02:36it debuted off-Broadway, coming up to 10 years.
02:39Are you serious?
02:40Yeah, January 2015.
02:42That's right.
02:43I mean, I was in it.
02:44Yes, you tell me!
02:45Time flies when you're having fun, it really does.
02:48I'm very proud of the legacy of that show, you know, I think it's still changing hearts
02:54and minds, and hopefully inspiring people to get to know their history, even though
02:58that show does take some liberties for entertainment's sake, but it's, I don't know, I remember at
03:02the time I was very proud to be a part of it because it made me proud to be an American.
03:07That is a lot of people's history, it's like quoting Hamilton Cullors, but back to this
03:11of course, when you first saw Aaron, we know he put in the work.
03:15He did.
03:16In the poster alone, he put in the work.
03:18What was your reaction when you saw him in full Craven?
03:21I'm pretty sure I was like, you look good.
03:26I don't know, what am I going to say?
03:28I don't look like that.
03:30I feel like I got, I had the easier job, I just, you know, I got to really act, there
03:36wasn't necessarily an extra physical requirement on my physique in the same way, so I was very
03:43in awe of him and how he managed all of that and still stayed so focused to create a character
03:48you could both root for and question, and I, fun fact, I discovered Aaron Taylor Johnson
03:55in Nowhere Boy at the time I was doing a deep dive on an actress I really admire, Kristen
04:00Scott Thomas, and so that's why I watched the movie, and he was portraying John Lennon,
04:06and I forgot that the story was about John Lennon and was just so engrossed in what he
04:11was doing on screen, and I, when this came up and I had the opportunity to work with
04:15him, it's one of those you just say yes to to be in a great sandbox, so.
04:19Well we're in awe of you and engrossed by everything you do, you are just so lovely.
