00:07 Mike Enriquez is a pioneer and one of the first faces and voices of the witness
00:13 who is a part of the programs and his work in the industry for the past five decades.
00:19 He was reminded of the personalities of his alma mater
00:24 and the people who watched him in the news.
00:29 Let's listen to our colleague and friend, Mark Salazar.
00:35 [Music]
00:44 More than five decades of true service in television and radio.
00:49 [Music]
00:51 Five minutes to airtime.
00:53 Five, four, three, two.
00:55 Let's not be slow.
00:58 It's hard to face his long career in the industry
01:02 and to follow the footsteps of one Mike Enriquez.
01:06 [Music]
01:11 For the media, Mike is sometimes loud, sometimes strict, but he is humble.
01:19 Of course, he is Mike Enriquez.
01:21 People are screaming when they see him.
01:24 When he is on the media, people are screaming, "Mike, Mike, let's take a picture!"
01:28 I am not denying that he is good at everything.
01:30 He is tall, he is short, he has the same views.
01:33 Mike is a difficult boss.
01:34 He is a perfectionist.
01:37 The slightest mistake in the script and he will terrorize you.
01:41 Because he is a sucker for competency outside work.
01:47 Mike is a very caring friend.
01:49 My lesson to him is to value yourself.
01:54 Because if you don't, you won't be able to work properly.
01:56 [Music]
01:59 Mike is a green archer.
02:01 He was trained by De La Salle University from elementary school to college.
02:05 He also became an active alumnus.
02:07 In his career, the La Salle community remembered Mike as the leader of the industry
02:13 and an example of being a true La Sallean.
02:17 He was a pillar of dedication and service to the community.
02:20 He was respected by even government officials,
02:24 like lawmakers.
02:26 The camera was photographed of Mike as a champion of the "Ape" and was being abused.
02:31 And for President Bongbong Marcos, Mike is a hero of the broadcasting industry
02:36 who was saved by the news that he is not being listened to.
02:42 But more than anyone, the viewers, especially the one who was the one who brought the news,
02:47 idolized Mike as a star
02:50 who left a big mark in the spotlight.
02:54 The attention was drawn to social media.
02:58 From those who are amazed by his loud voice and way of speaking,
03:03 Mike was with them from breakfast to dinner,
03:08 some of whom died of their own blood.
03:11 [Music]
03:13 The attention and praise was brought to the scene,
03:17 especially when Mike was not being heard saying, "We will not listen to you!"
03:23 or "Excuse me!" whenever he sat down,
03:26 even when he was quoted as a meme.
03:29 "My fellow citizens, I am going home."
03:31 [Music]
03:33 Now, it seems that he has become a hero.
03:35 [Music]
03:39 For all of this, Mike Enriquez's lesson to us is that
03:42 we all have a connection,
03:44 so every day, we should always be thankful.
03:48 "We borrowed everything we have from others,
03:52 and that's enough reason to be thankful."
03:54 [Music]
03:57 For GMA Integrated News,
04:00 Mark Salazar, your witness.
