A landlord was shocked when her Italian tenant left the room looking like a rubbish tip.Patcharapa Tohyeewang said she nearly fainted upon seeing the filth strewn about her condominium room in Pattaya, Thailand, on June 6.The furious property owner said she had leased the room to Italian man Marcello Clerici in August 2022 for a monthly rate of 8,000 THB (227 USD).Marcello was said to have been living in Thailand for more than 10 years, and ran a restaurant while taking care of his two children.Patcharapa said that though Marcello always made the monthly rent, he had failed to settle his electric bill and reportedly resorted to using illegal electric connections instead. This prompted Patchara to inspect the room, where she was met with a stomach-turning sight.Footage shows rubbish and dirty laundry scattered across the floor as Marcello's children lay asleep, unfazed by the landlord's entrance. Hungry pet cats followed shocked Patchara around as she recorded the state of her condo room.On the balcony were more piles of unwashed clothes and filthy cat litter with waste still inside.Patchara said: 'The tenant left the room so dirty. I almost fell to my knees in shock. It made me feel sick.'Following the inspection, Patchara said the family has moved out. Without clarifying, she said Marcello 'vacated the premises without facing legal repercussions.'The room has been cleaned and is ready to welcome a new tenant, she added.
