00:14 It's Ryan Nelson and you are watching Current Living.
00:17 On today's episode, we're working a little overtime
00:20 because we're featuring a night market
00:22 that has the entire city outside.
00:24 As you can see, there's a ton of people here.
00:26 There's great food, great shopping items.
00:28 I don't know about you, but.
00:30 Tacos are calling my name.
00:32 Let's go eat and let's go check it out.

00:36 What's your experience been like?
00:44 - So this is actually our first time here.
00:46 I really like it.
00:47 We're being able to bring our food over to the east side
00:49 'cause we primarily stay over in the northwest.
00:51 There's a ton of people here.
00:53 Everybody's been really receptive, really cool.
00:56 All the vendors have been really nice,
00:57 talking to each other and stuff.
00:58 So that's always good.
00:59 It feels like it's a family event.
01:01 We're gonna try one thing.
01:03 It's hard for me to pick one thing,
01:04 so I always tell people, get a pastrami,
01:06 have it cut in half, and then get you a loaded nacho
01:09 with a deep pit beef and have us add
01:10 our homemade barbecue sauce on it.
01:12 - It's so good.
01:13 I don't know if you all remember the Current Living episode,
01:15 but I had two.
01:16 They're absolutely amazing.
01:17 So I'm having a blast out here
01:19 because we're running into almost everybody
01:21 you can think of, a former guest of Current Living.
01:23 How are you?
01:24 Because these drinks are absolutely amazing.

01:28 - I'm great because I got one of these,
01:30 and the line is super long.
01:32 We got to cut the line.
01:33 What would you say is the most popular item?
01:35 - The dragon fruit and blue raspberry mixed together.
01:37 But since it's been hot, my refresher has been popular.

02:16 Now, how did you get started selling these?
02:17 - Honestly, we started buying them from my daughter,
02:20 honestly, and then we're like,
02:21 you know what, let's make it a business.
02:22 So from there, we just started going and bringing out,
02:24 we started off with a little bit,
02:25 and then we just exaggerated and we went crazy with it.
02:28 - And he's serious, look, look, it wraps around.
02:30 - We got more, we got more,
02:32 but we don't have enough space right now.

02:36 - Okay, from food to croc charms and even accessories
02:46 that you can use for everyday use,
02:47 we found Victoria's Boutique.
02:49 Now I got to ask, how are you doing?
02:50 - Good, how are you?
02:51 - I'm doing well because we're stumbling upon
02:53 so many great Kern County small businesses
02:56 at the East Baco Market.
02:57 Now, what's your experience been like?
02:59 - Really good, it's my first day here.
03:01 I love the environment,
03:02 and then I wanted to come out and support as well,
03:04 all their local businesses.
03:05 - So we can't end tonight's episode
03:10 without talking to the founders of this wonderful market.
03:13 How did you all get started?
03:14 - So we went out to LA and we got the idea
03:19 from a night market over there
03:21 called El Gato Night Market,
03:23 and from there we thought, you know,
03:25 we should bring something to our town,
03:27 especially over here on the East side.
03:29 - Well, Kern County, if you're at home
03:30 and you're wondering what you should do on a Friday night,
03:33 this is the place to be.
03:34 Cotton candy, great food, great people.
03:37 I've still got a burger to try,
