A special celebration took place as retired United States Army and World War II veteran Ken Lair marked his 98th birthday on Tues, Aug 22.

00:17 U.S. Army retired Ken Lehr marking his 98th birthday this week.
00:22 The World War II veteran spending a little time chatting about it on the Ralph Bailey Show.
00:26 We introduced you to Ken last week talking about his time with the 11th Armored Division where he was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge.
00:33 This week he was showered with cake and song while serving up a little appreciation of his own for the people who support Honor Flight.
00:40 This is really a gift that most places don't provide, very few places.
00:45 I have never heard of a place that provided these opportunities for ex-military people.
00:53 It's a great opportunity and from what I hear, the trip is just really fantastic.

01:02 Ken taking part in the 47th Honor Flight this fall. It will be his first trip to Washington.
