02:34 In 2008, when Chandrayaan 1,
02:39 Moon Impact Probe, MIP, landed on the moon with the Indian national flag,
02:47 India became the fourth country to land a scientific instrument on the moon.
02:56 Today, through Chandrayaan 3, we have shown the world our great scientific capabilities.
03:07 Vikram Lander and Pajnan Rower's excellent soft landing,
03:15 Dr. Humi Baba, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Dr. Satish Dhawan, Dr. Meghnath Shah,
03:24 Dr. Shanti Swarup, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and all those great scientists have been truly honoured.
03:37 They have made India successful in space, research, and scientific excellence.
03:45 These achievements are proof of the vision of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru,
03:51 who emphasized that a scientific temper can only move forward the development of an independent nation.
04:02 For him, science was a major means of bringing about rapid changes in people's lives.
04:10 Other Prime Ministers of India also promoted this vision.

05:22 INCOSPAR stands for the Indian National Committee on Space Research.
05:26 The first five people to join the INCOSPAR were APJ Abdul Kalam.
05:35 In August 1969, Vikram Sarabhai, who always viewed space science and space exploration from the perspective of development,
05:48 established ISRO.
05:50 Satish Dhawan came between 1972 and 1984 and I believe he demonstrated extraordinary leadership.
06:01 From a scientific, technical and management perspective, he has played an exemplary role.
06:11 He was accompanied by Brahmaprakash ji, who was our only person who played a transformative role in our space exploration program.
06:26 After Satish Dhawan, U R Rao started and many chairmen came and they contributed their special contribution to ISRO and our space program.
06:38 The success we are seeing today is a result of a collective effort and collective team effort.
06:51 It is not a result of a person, but a system where people work with a team work and a collective mentality.
