00:00 It is a unique industry and it enjoys a special nature
00:05 because it requires large investments, care and well-studied plans.
00:11 It is an industry that has attracted insurance companies to provide insurance coverage for it
00:17 and made the Egyptian government the largest city to have it.
00:22 Some of it is used for trade, some of it is for entertainment,
00:27 some of it is for horse racing and horse racing competitions.
00:31 Horse breeding in Egypt is an industry and trade that costs 10 billion pounds.
00:37 It is a farm that has 1,750 farms and more than 33,000 Arab horses.
00:46 But it faces huge challenges, such as the high costs and the competitive double
00:52 that came about by the European Union's decision more than ten years ago
00:57 to ban the importation of Arab horses from Egypt permanently
01:01 before it became a temporary ban four years ago.
01:05 Under government attempts to reopen markets again,
01:09 under targeted exports, it will reach 100 million dollars next year.
01:14 We currently have a plan for four markets that are running on them,
01:18 and we are planning to export horses to them,
01:22 such as the Libyan market, the Iraqi market, the Turkish market and the Palestinian market.
01:29 Egypt is targeting the export of these horses,
01:33 and we hope that within a year, our export of these horses will reach 100 million dollars.
01:40 We have already started to address the markets,
01:44 and we are planning to hold meetings in the coming period.
01:49 We are also planning to hold visits to other countries.
01:53 Government and private sectors are trying to create the largest horse breeding city in the Middle East
01:58 under the name of the Egyptian City of Merabit for the original Arab horses,
02:02 and to provide a comprehensive system for all activities related to horses,
02:06 from factories and building sites, to dealing with the availability of exports
02:10 and to taking care of all types of horses and to preserve the rare breeds,
02:14 in an effort to export around 1000 Arab horses by 2024.
02:19 There was a large sale of a number of special horses at low prices,
02:24 which greatly affected the market.
02:26 The farmers were able to hold on and resist, but not much.
02:30 This also made the financial value of the group,
02:34 and you are of course experts in finance, to be greatly reduced.
02:37 I am one of the believers, and the state has done a great job in the new place in the capital, Darayya.
02:41 I hope it will be a very good transfer.
02:44 There is a lot of interest in festivals and their presence in areas like the North Coast.
02:48 We are planning something in Sharm El Sheikh, in the coming period.
02:51 We are planning international events.
02:53 We should have another market in Egypt, in the Haram or in the border areas,
02:57 a festival of great length, attractive, and also showing the existing capabilities.
03:03 Egypt exported 55 horses from last year's horse market to 8 European and Arab countries,
03:09 worth tens of millions of dollars.
