Transcript
00:00 >> Max Torres here at St. John Bosco with 2024 Washington Huskies linebacker commit
00:05 Kamori House.
00:07 Kamori, you committed back in June, but why was it the Huskies for you?
00:12 >> I feel like the coaching staff, great fit for me.
00:15 I feel like I fit in the best there.
00:18 I feel like I was a priority for the coaching staff.
00:21 I feel like I could go in there, play early, be a big impact for them.
00:25 And I know they're building something special there.
00:28 They're on the rise, they got a good head coach, Coach DeBoer.
00:32 I show mad love for Coach DeBoer and I feel like they're building something special and
00:37 I could be a part of that.
00:38 >> Tell me more about this direction of the Huskies program cuz they're heading to the
00:42 Big Ten.
00:43 That's obviously some big news, but what do you think about the direction of that program?
00:46 >> I feel like with the guys that we get in this class and some of the guys that stay
00:50 in 2023 class, I feel like they're building something very good.
00:54 The coaching staff, defensive, Coach Inge, defensive line, I feel like something's cooking
01:01 there.
01:02 I'm gonna go in there, help it out.
01:04 So I feel like we're cooking, we're cooking something, yes, sir.
01:08 >> Okay, okay, and then let's bring it back to the football field.
01:11 You guys get the week one win over Liberty.
01:14 What went right for you guys in that game?
01:17 >> Teamwork, we came into it with the right mindset that we're not gonna take anybody
01:22 lightly.
01:23 I feel like we had some mental errors, just ticky tacky errors to where we, too many flags,
01:29 too many personal calls.
01:32 But we stuck together as a team, was able to play well on offense.
01:36 We were connecting, and defense held it down when we needed, so we're playing well.
01:42 >> All right, and then now, quick turnaround, you guys head to Florida this week for St.
01:46 Thomas Aquinas.
01:47 What's gonna be key there?
01:48 >> Key there is just to stay disciplined.
01:50 I feel like they're gonna try to get us out of our game, make us make mental errors like
01:55 we said.
01:56 So if we stay disciplined, stick to the game plan, and stay grounded on what we know, we're
02:00 gonna go in there and handle business for sure.
02:03 >> Thanks for your time, Kamari.
02:04 >> Yes, sir, nice talking to you.
