00:00 Well, another big story across the
00:02 continental US is the heat in this
00:04 heat is sticking with us even into
00:07 well next week as high pressure is
00:09 large and in charge that he is going
00:12 to continue to expand northward.
00:14 Record highs challenge.
00:15 It is going to be the hottest air for a
00:18 lot of people for the season across the
00:21 Midwest. Now we are going to be running
00:23 10 to 15 degrees above those historical
00:25 averages. But where do temperatures go?
00:27 For today areas across the South Central,
00:30 Wichita Falls,
00:30 Texas coming in with a high of 111,
00:33 so it is going to be quite toasty,
00:36 steamy outside as we are factoring
00:38 in that humidity to as well.
00:40 Daily record 108,
00:41 so we're planning on blowing past that.
00:43 Dallas 108 we could very well
00:45 skim past that record of 107.
00:47 And then similar story down in
00:49 Abilene, TX like Charles comes in
00:51 with a high of 100 in New Orleans,
00:54 98 so all in record territory.
00:56 And as we slide a little bit further
00:58 north Saturday afternoon,
01:00 while areas like Wichita who feeling
01:02 like with your acuity real field
01:04 temperatures between 110 to 115.
01:05 This is dangerous heat that we are
01:08 talking about across the Southern Plains,
01:10 so make sure that you are staying hydrated,
01:13 drinking plenty of water.
01:14 I will continue to say this
01:16 until I am out of breath.
01:18 You don't want to mess around with the heat.
01:21 Take plenty of cooling breaks.
01:22 Know where your cooling stations are,
01:24 and even as far north as Sioux Falls,
01:27 we're still going to be running with
01:29 your acuity real field temperatures
01:31 between 105 to 110.
01:32 Now as we head into Sunday,
01:34 similar story.
01:34 A lot of these areas still on the list
01:37 with Wichita Falls coming in with
01:39 the high of 111 versus that record
01:41 of 107 set back in 2011.
