00:00 Surprise everyone and welcome to a new episode of Surprise Guest with Pia Arkangel
00:06 where every episode turns out to be a surprise conversation so expect the unexpected
00:11 because we don't know who will be joining us each time we start the episode.
00:17 We'll find out who our guest for today is.
00:20 Usually we have clues but today, will the guest introduce herself?
00:27 I'm so excited.
00:28 Are you there, Surprise Guest?
00:30 Yes, I am.
00:31 I think the voice of our Surprise Guest is different.
00:34 Surprise Guest, is that your real voice?
00:37 No.
00:37 Oh, it's not.
00:39 Surprise Guest, give me a clue as to your personality and your identity.
00:44 Do you know who I am?
00:45 I'm one of the five representatives of the world.
00:49 I will fight for you.
00:51 Oh, so that means our Surprise Guest today is with VOLTOS 5.
00:55 Am I right?
00:56 My personality is like Sesame Street.
00:59 Surprise Guest, did we meet yesterday?
01:03 Hi, Matt, is that you?
01:07 Big Bert is the only one here.
01:08 There! Hi!
01:10 Hi, Matt. I told you I had a good feeling.
01:15 How are you?
01:18 Hi, Wispy. I'm okay.
01:20 I had a good breakfast and lunch.
01:24 You seem to have had lunch early today.
01:28 It's only 11 in the morning.
01:30 You already had lunch?
01:32 Wait, when we met yesterday, did you come from work or not?
01:36 Not really.
01:37 Actually, my friends and I checked in.
01:40 We just had a mini vacation.
01:44 How old are you?
01:45 I'm 29.
01:46 Shocks! I can't believe you're 29.
01:49 I feel like you're in your early 20s, Max.
01:54 Early 20s. But hey, you're 29.
01:56 So that means you're almost mature.
02:01 You're mature but not yet expected by people who are already super mature.
02:04 Would you say that this is the best age so far?
02:08 Yes, for me, it's the best age because I'm already at a point in my life
02:14 where I'm able to express who I really am.
02:17 At the same time, I have friends who are surprised by me from GMA, from Sparkle.
02:24 They thought I was just their age.
02:27 I'm also a bit young.
02:31 And you still look like a kid.
02:35 You can still do teenager rules.
02:37 Wait, Matt. You mentioned that you're at that age where you can express yourself.
02:43 I remember yesterday, I mentioned to you that
02:45 you're a great singer.
02:49 Is singing part of your self-expression?
02:51 Not just acting but also singing?
02:53 Yes. Actually, I'm the one who writes the songs that I sing.
02:59 I've already released three original songs with GMA Music.
03:02 I just recently felt how I can express my emotions through songwriting.
03:09 And of course, singing.
03:11 I feel like this is the age where I'm more open to people.
03:19 I'm more open to what I really feel.
03:21 Maybe because you're able to know yourself better?
03:24 Yes.
03:25 This is so fun.
03:26 Was singing your first passion or acting your first love?
03:31 I remember when I was young, I really wanted to be an artist.
03:36 I really dreamed of becoming an artist.
03:38 Because growing up with my mom and dad,
03:43 they both worked in the shoebiz industry.
03:46 I always wondered, "What if I'm the one who's in the industry?"
03:50 I remember that time, they didn't want to let me do it.
03:53 Because they knew that it's hard to work.
03:56 I might get hurt.
03:58 I was so stubborn. I auditioned and auditioned.
04:01 They didn't know because they were angry.
04:03 When I didn't have any shows at that time,
04:06 what happened was I fell in love with music.
04:08 That was the time I got a guitar.
04:11 I was originally a guitarist.
04:13 I was looking for a vocalist.
04:15 I learned how to write songs.
04:17 When I learned how to write,
04:19 and I was looking for a vocalist,
04:20 that's when I realized,
04:22 "Why don't I try to sing my own song?"
04:25 So I formed a band.
04:27 I was the frontman.
04:29 I was the chief songwriter.
04:31 At the same time, I played the guitar.
04:33 For me, it was like the best of both worlds.
04:37 Because my favorite instrument is the guitar.
04:39 At the same time, I sing.
04:40 It's so pleasant.
04:42 I remember that while I was in the band,
04:44 I was still auditioning.
04:46 Without my mom knowing.
04:48 I had a teleserie before,
04:51 way back to 2011.
04:53 I fell in love with craft.
04:55 I always ask myself,
04:56 "Is my music career or acting career more important to me?"
05:00 For me, it's really hard to answer.
05:03 But I think it's not forever.
05:09 Because we don't know what the future holds.
05:12 But I think I'll keep coming back to music.
05:15 I think your first love is music.
05:18 Who are your musical inspirations or musical idols?
05:23 Number one, John Mayer.
05:24 Your body is a wonderland.
05:26 John Mayer is the core of my music.
05:31 But locally, I think Bamboo and Mayonnaise.
05:36 They are my band idols when I started playing the guitar.
05:40 When you write songs,
05:43 are they drawn from personal experience?
05:47 Or is it just your imagination?
05:49 Did you see something?
05:50 Did you observe something?
05:53 It depends on the situation.
05:54 When I write songs,
05:57 I'm inspired by my friend's experience.
06:00 I wrote it.
06:01 There are times when I'm inspired by my latest release, "Liham."
06:06 That was actually from my personal experience.
06:09 I wrote the song in 15 minutes.
06:11 The emotion was so raw at that time.
06:15 I was surprised that I finished the song in 30 minutes.
06:18 I immediately posted it on GME Music.
06:20 After a few days, we recorded it.
06:23 For me, that song is the most raw.
06:26 It's from my personal experience.
06:28 I don't stick to that.
06:31 There are times when I'm inspired by a movie or a song.
06:38 I get inspired by that and write it.
06:41 What is "Liham" about?
06:42 "Liham" is about self-love.
06:45 I wrote it for myself.
06:47 I express what I really feel.
06:51 The lyrics are like,
06:54 "I don't want to anymore. Enough."
06:56 "I want to be happy."
06:58 So about that song.
07:00 Okay.
07:01 It's about self-love.
07:03 Some might have a different connotation.
07:05 But what it really means is learning to love yourself.
07:08 Yes.
07:09 That's nice.
07:10 Were there times when you had a hard time to do that?
07:15 To love yourself?
07:16 Yes.
07:17 I learned to love others before myself.
07:22 Ouch!
07:23 That's like a tattoo.
07:26 There.
07:27 It's like that.
07:28 So it's true that you can't love others if you don't know how to love yourself.
07:35 Yes.
07:36 Maybe for me, it should be 50-50.
07:38 To balance.
07:41 Yes.
07:42 So that the relationship won't be toxic.
07:45 Speaking from experience.
07:48 I have a question.
07:50 When you were on the show,
07:51 was it a gig?
07:52 The one we aired on the news?
07:53 So you're on stage with Isabel,
07:56 and they're singing.
07:58 When you were shooting for Vultures 5,
08:00 in between takes,
08:01 did you bring a guitar?
08:02 Were you jamming?
08:04 Yes.
08:05 Every break,
08:07 I always bring my guitar and we jam.
08:10 Actually, everyone was there.
08:11 Brother Dion,
08:13 Brother Jamie Wilson.
08:17 So we all gathered on one side
08:20 and I was playing the guitar.
08:21 We all sang.
08:23 That's fun.
08:24 Even with costumes.
08:25 Yes, even with costumes.
08:27 I see a lot of people sending me videos
08:29 where I'm just on one side
08:32 singing like that.
08:33 And I'm being filmed.
08:34 I don't know.
08:35 Big Bert is wearing a beanie.
08:37 Yes.
08:40 That's why it's funny.
08:41 Because there's a part of Big Bert's room
08:44 in Big Falcon.
08:45 They set it up.
08:47 It's like you're a musician.
08:49 And beside my bed,
08:51 there's a Judo uniform.
08:54 On the other side,
08:56 there's a piano,
08:57 guitars,
08:58 and a mic.
08:59 So they watched Big Bert's character
09:02 in the personal that I like.
09:04 Oh, wow.
09:05 So it's a swack.
09:06 It's a swack.
09:07 But Matt,
09:09 you're only 29.
09:10 So you were still young.
09:12 Wait, did you get to Vultures 5
09:14 when it first aired on TV?
09:17 No, but I got the replay.
09:20 I don't remember if it was the late 90s or early 2000s.
09:23 But it was dubbed in Tagalog.
09:25 Ah, okay.
09:26 So I got it.
09:27 Because the original dub was in English, right?
09:30 I know it was in English.
09:32 So you got to watch it.
09:34 When I was young, yes.
09:35 But I want to be honest
09:38 because I told this to Direct Mark
09:40 that I forgot the story.
09:43 I forgot the story about Vultures 5.
09:45 So before we did the taping,
09:47 I watched it again.
09:48 I remember it was a pandemic at the time
09:51 so I couldn't do anything.
09:52 I think I watched the whole series three times.
09:56 When you watched it again,
09:57 you knew that you were Big Bert?
09:58 Yes, I knew.
10:00 So you were taking notes?
10:02 Yes.
10:03 And before I auditioned for Big Bert,
10:07 I hired a grandmaster, Arnice.
10:10 So I taught him,
10:12 not only Arnice,
10:13 but I taught him both stuff before I auditioned.
10:16 Because I said I was prepared
10:18 when I went to Direct Mark's audition.
10:20 I think I can't remember if I was asked to go back twice
10:24 or three times for the screening.
10:26 I didn't know that I was Big Bert at the time.
10:28 I was watching snippets of Big Bert's character.
10:34 And when I was hired as Big Bert,
10:37 I really binge-watched Vultures 5.
10:40 Wait, before you became Big Bert,
10:42 or before you got the role of Big Bert,
10:44 did you do martial arts?
10:46 I didn't do martial arts.
10:48 But before, I trained in MMA, boxing,
10:54 and I did taekwondo when I was young.
10:57 Just to remember the moves.
11:00 So I hired someone to train me again.
11:03 Because of course, as I grew older,
11:07 my movements changed.
11:08 So I just wanted to look cooler.
11:11 Because when we watched Big Bert,
11:13 he was really cool.
11:15 Actually, it's hard to be acting.
11:17 I'm afraid that my fingers will get hurt
11:21 when I'm sparring or something.
11:23 I acted, but I didn't really practice
11:27 because I'm afraid of getting hurt.
11:29 You're really scary, especially those who are fast.
11:33 But you're right, he's really cool when you watch him,
11:36 especially when he's really fast.
11:38 My favorite is, I'm not really good at garnishing,
11:42 but I really focused on it
11:44 because Big Bert's main weapon is the bo-staff,
11:47 the long stick.
11:48 So I really focused on it because in 2020,
11:51 all the things my coach taught me
11:55 on the long stick,
11:56 all of that, the whole year of 2020,
11:59 while we weren't able to do taping,
12:01 I really studied.
12:02 And by the time we did taping,
12:05 before taping, Isabel and Miguel met,
12:09 we trained a stunt again with Erwin Tagle.
12:13 And by the time we did taping,
12:15 I was really confident.
12:17 Of course, I met Director Mark.
12:19 "Director, I can handle the long stick."
12:22 Wow. So at least you mastered it during the pandemic.
12:26 You watched videos and you just practiced.
12:29 Videos, practice.
12:31 Then I called my friend who taught me,
12:36 my coach, and asked, "Is this right?
12:38 How do I make this spin?
12:39 How do I switch hands?
12:41 The stunts, how?"
12:43 I practiced all of that during the pandemic
12:46 so that when taping came,
12:47 there's not much left.
12:49 Wait, are there things that you didn't think you could do before,
12:53 but because of your character or role as Big Bert,
12:57 you're able to do it now?
12:59 Maybe the character itself.
13:02 Because this is my first major role.
13:06 I couldn't do it before.
13:08 And now, I'm able to do it.
13:11 Especially with the help of Director Mark
13:13 and my co-actors.
13:15 The character is really challenging
13:18 because he's known by everyone.
13:21 And it's really hard to develop a character
13:25 for a role.
13:27 Especially if it's not natural to your body
13:30 how to move that character.
13:33 And now, I learned how to study the character
13:38 through Ms. Anna Fileo and Coach Jay Cruz.
13:43 They helped me to develop Big Bert's character.
13:47 And now, I experienced how to make the character from scratch.
13:53 I guess growing up with parents
13:56 who also work in the showbiz industry,
13:58 did that help you?
13:59 Because you were exposed to it when you were young.
14:01 Yes, maybe.
14:03 Because my mom is also an artist.
14:07 My mom is also a critic.
14:09 So, maybe her inputs helped.
14:11 But to study a craft properly,
14:16 I needed proper education.
14:21 Especially since the workshops of the GMA always give it to me.
14:25 So, it helped me a lot
14:28 to portray the characters I'm portraying correctly.
14:34 Hold on.
14:36 I just found out yesterday that your mom is a director.
14:40 And you mentioned that she's one of your critics
14:43 when it comes to acting.
14:44 Is it harder to show your mom what you're doing?
14:48 Because she's not just watching you as your mom,
14:51 but also as a director, right?
14:53 It's not hard.
14:55 Because when my mom saw that I'm really passionate about my work,
15:00 she told me that she's supportive of what I'm doing.
15:05 And because we're watching this together,
15:07 we're involved in this project together as a family.
15:10 So, I feel that my mom is proud of me.
15:14 I feel that she knows that I can do better in the future.
15:20 And I want her to feel that way.
15:23 Because I think I'm growing up.
15:26 If I make mistakes, at least I'll correct them.
15:30 And I'll know what to do in the next scenes.
15:37 And my mom is really supportive.
15:39 That's why it's funny.
15:41 Is your dad also a director?
15:45 My dad was also an artist in the late 80s to early 90s.
15:52 But he didn't like being in front of the camera.
15:57 So, he was also behind the camera.
15:59 He was a production manager before in movies.
16:03 Wow! You guys are really immersed in the industry.
16:07 Do you have siblings?
16:09 Yes, I have an older brother.
16:12 And my younger brother is a special child.
16:16 He's really sweet.
16:18 He also watches VOLTUS 5 every night.
16:21 He enjoys the show.
16:23 Is your older brother also in the industry?
16:25 No, he's happy with his life.
16:29 Okay, so he pursued a different path.
16:33 But you said that you used to avoid auditions.
16:36 When you auditioned for VOLTUS 5, what did you tell your family?
16:40 I told my mom, "I'm not going to audition anymore."
16:43 Do you have someone you want to talk to?
16:48 Do you have someone you want to know about?
16:50 Do you need someone to talk to?
16:52 At some point, life has to go on.
16:54 Or even gossip?
16:56 Once you lose your respect for a person,
16:59 love will never come back.
17:02 If you measure 3.67 inches or less,
17:06 then that's a micro penis.
17:08 You have to go through all these rules before you focus on yourself.
17:11 Whatever it is, just share it.
17:15 With Dr. Anna Tuazon.
17:18 Wherever you are, we're here.
17:21 We'll listen and we'll talk.
17:24 Email us at sharecolang@gmailnews.tv
17:28 Because in life, there's always a lot of gossip.
17:32 #ShareColang
17:35 [Music]
17:37 But wait, you said before that you were avoiding auditions.
17:41 When you auditioned for VOLTUS 5, what did you tell your family?
17:45 They don't know.
17:47 My mom doesn't know.
17:48 When I was chosen as Big Bird,
17:51 she cried because she didn't expect that I would audition for such a big project.
17:59 When I got chosen, I hugged her and said, "Mom, I got chosen for VOLTUS 5."
18:06 We both cried because my mom knows my dreams.
18:12 I'm sure she dreams the same for me.
18:15 When I got chosen, I got a big role.
18:19 It's hard to sink in with the two of us.
18:22 We were both so happy.
18:25 That's so happy.
18:27 That's a big surprise for your mom.
18:31 Prior to VOLTUS 5, what roles did you audition for?
18:40 My first ever project with JMA Films,
18:45 when I met you, Richard Gutierrez and Casey Concepcion,
18:50 I played the younger brother of Casey.
18:53 That was my first.
18:54 Around 2010, I auditioned for Artista Search on another network.
19:05 I got chosen.
19:06 After that, I got my first TV series.
19:10 At that time, my role was a villain.
19:13 I got chosen for a few roles that were good.
19:18 I did a couple of indie films.
19:22 That's all.
19:23 This is actually my first project with a big network.
19:27 Wow.
19:28 Maybe it's okay that you don't tell your parents right away when you audition.
19:32 Because you'll get accepted.
19:34 You'll just surprise them, right?
19:37 I don't want to tell my parents that I'm auditioning.
19:45 Of course, they'll say, "You should've done this!"
19:48 So I just want to be myself.
19:52 Ah, okay.
19:53 So you don't think about anything else when you audition.
19:56 You're focused.
19:58 Okay.
19:59 That's great.
20:00 I'm happy.
20:02 Now that your role is such a big role,
20:05 and a lot of people are watching.
20:07 I mean, the ratings of VOLTUS 5 are so high.
20:09 It's one of the top programs.
20:10 Daily, top programs.
20:12 I'm sure a lot of people are looking at you when you go to the mall.
20:16 They know you and they say you're an inspiration for them.
20:20 What's the most touching thing that a viewer or fan told you?
20:25 I think the most touching thing for me is the kids.
20:29 They say, "Big Bert, we're so happy because you're always there."
20:34 It's so nice to feel that.
20:36 I didn't think that the kids, the generation now,
20:42 would appreciate VOLTUS 5.
20:43 Because the first thing I thought,
20:46 we thought that our highest audience,
20:50 from the original 1970s,
20:53 would watch VOLTUS 5.
20:54 But it's so good because it's all mixed together.
20:57 But there's something I can't forget.
20:59 One time, someone approached me.
21:03 I was just filling up at the gas station.
21:07 I was at the expressway.
21:08 I was ordering food.
21:10 Someone approached me, who was around my dad's age.
21:15 I was wearing a VOLTUS 5 t-shirt.
21:17 When he saw me, he hugged me.
21:20 He said, "Thank you for bringing back my childhood."
21:23 That's one of the most touching things for me.
21:26 We were able to touch people who were our fans.
21:31 It's so nice that there are different generations.
21:34 There are kids and older people who are watching you.
21:39 Your martial arts moves are very inspiring.
21:43 I mean, your stunts.
21:44 You do your own stunts, right?
21:46 Yes, I do.
21:48 Was that a challenge for you,
21:50 that you do your own stunts?
21:52 Yes, it's very challenging.
21:54 Especially when it's fast stunts,
21:56 there are too many numbers that are given to me.
22:00 It's hard because even when I train,
22:04 sometimes, if you do it for a long time,
22:06 for example, the first scene of Big Bert,
22:09 the introduction of Big Bert,
22:10 where the staff is building,
22:11 we did that for almost three hours.
22:14 To the point that my legs were giving in.
22:17 I was being pulled.
22:18 I felt like I was going to die
22:20 because the sun was so hot.
22:22 But that's when I realized that
22:25 I didn't have to give up.
22:26 We had to finish this.
22:28 And when I watched it for the first time,
22:31 I saw it in the cinematic experience,
22:33 I was surprised that it took that long and that hard
22:36 because it was directed by Derek Park.
22:39 And of course, your character's name,
22:42 Big Bert,
22:43 it really has the word "big" in the character's name.
22:47 So did you have to bulk up
22:51 or put on weight for the role?
22:54 I auditioned for Big Bert's character.
22:58 I remember I was 245 pounds then.
23:01 And then, when the pandemic happened,
23:05 I said, "Let's make this role better."
23:08 So I went to the gym.
23:09 I put on some heavy weights.
23:11 What happened was that my face shrunk
23:14 and my chin shrunk.
23:16 So I saw Derek Mark.
23:17 He told me, "Derek Mark, you don't look like that when you audition."
23:20 So he told me, "Eat."
23:23 So I ate.
23:25 I stopped putting on weight.
23:27 So there, I grew up.
23:29 And then, Telesuccess said,
23:32 "That's what we're looking for in you.
23:34 Stop putting on weight."
23:36 So at least you can enjoy the buffet.
23:41 I really enjoyed it.
23:44 Yes, he really enjoyed the buffet.
23:47 But was it challenging?
23:49 Because I imagine it's hard if you have to change a particular routine
23:53 that you're used to,
23:54 whether your diet or your exercise,
23:56 whether it's bulking up or trying to lose weight.
23:59 Is it difficult?
24:00 Because it's not what you're used to.
24:02 Yes.
24:03 Maybe growing up,
24:04 in my genes,
24:06 I grew up easily.
24:07 Losing weight,
24:09 I also lose weight easily
24:11 when I'm motivated.
24:13 So when I'm motivated,
24:15 I make sure that I want to hit my goal.
24:18 And now,
24:19 when VOLTUS 5 is over,
24:21 I plan to change a little
24:23 so that we can accept a different character.
24:26 I'm willing to do that.
24:29 Maybe your next role is
24:31 a buffed-up character.
24:33 I hope so.
24:36 If we're given a show like that,
24:40 I'll be a G.
24:41 What other roles do you want to try?
24:46 Well,
24:47 in VOLTUS 5,
24:48 I was a little happy
24:51 with the two characters we did with Crystal.
24:54 Crystal Paras.
24:55 It's a new feeling for me.
24:58 I want to have a romantic comedy drama.
25:03 I also want to tackle being a leading man.
25:06 I want Matt Lozano to be the one
25:10 who neutralizes everything.
25:13 Not because you're on the chubby side,
25:15 you can't be a leading man.
25:17 Something like that.
25:19 I also want to have roles that are
25:21 horror or action.
25:26 Those are the roles I want to try.
25:28 I love what you said.
25:29 You want to pave the way
25:32 to show everybody
25:33 that you don't have to be a certain body type
25:36 or you have to have a certain look
25:37 to be a leading man.
25:38 That's what you want to do
25:40 for everybody else in the industry.
25:42 Yes.
25:44 Do you have any roles you want to try?
25:48 I'm happy with the chemistry between Crystal and I.
25:51 I'll be happy if we get to work together again.
25:55 But I feel like I can work with everyone.
25:59 I'm excited to work with everyone.
26:02 How about the veteran actors and actresses
26:05 that you want to work with?
26:06 I've never worked with Kuya Dong,
26:09 Ding Dong Dantes.
26:10 He's my idol.
26:12 I've wanted to work with him for a long time.
26:15 I hope I get a chance to work with Jemai.
26:21 Shocks.
26:22 Matt, I'm excited for all the future work
26:25 that's in store for you.
26:27 I want to watch everything.
26:28 I want to listen to all your songs.
26:30 It's fun because
26:32 it's not just a job.
26:36 I see how very passionate you are about it.
26:39 Plus the fact that you were just a kid
26:41 and you've grown up with this.
26:43 So you know how it works.
26:45 Not just being on-cam,
26:46 but even off-cam.
26:48 The whole creative process.
26:51 I don't know.
26:56 I just felt like I'm passionate about something.
27:02 Especially acting.
27:04 My acting is helping me a lot.
27:08 Miguel is a big help to me.
27:11 In the set, in my character.
27:13 I'm so proud of that.
27:15 There are people who help me
27:17 because they see how passionate I am.
27:20 That's great.
27:21 I have a question.
27:22 I interviewed Radson.
27:25 Even Raprap.
27:27 They said that your bonding off-set
27:31 is very strong.
27:33 We can see that in your posts.
27:35 Although Radson said that you do
27:39 surfboarding or wakeboarding.
27:41 Wakeboarding.
27:42 Oh, okay.
27:43 So you still do wakeboarding?
27:46 Yes.
27:47 We do a weekly routine of wakeboarding.
27:52 That's our bonding right now.
27:55 We make sure that even though
27:57 we have our own work,
27:59 we still see each other.
28:01 Even if it's just once a week.
28:02 That's one of the things we see.
28:04 We enjoy bonding.
28:06 Wakeboarding.
28:07 I feel like you have a reunion every year.
28:11 You have a Christmas party every year.
28:13 You all have kids.
28:16 It's like,
28:18 on each of their birthdays,
28:20 everyone is present.
28:22 If there's work, we're there.
28:24 That's fun.
28:25 Maybe your experience is different.
28:28 Even if the taping is not that long,
28:31 meaning in terms of how many years you've been taping,
28:33 it's not like that.
28:35 But the time you spend together,
28:37 and you're still shooting during the pandemic,
28:39 that experience will really make a mark on you, right?
28:43 A big factor is the lock-in.
28:46 We've had a lot of lock-ins.
28:49 We've had four or five lock-ins.
28:53 One lock-in was for one month.
28:55 You're in a prison,
28:57 and you're together every day.
28:59 You'll really have a bond.
29:01 So, for the time we've been together,
29:05 not just in taping and promotions,
29:07 we're all together.
29:09 I feel like our friendship is formed.
29:13 Before we started taping,
29:15 we weren't all close.
29:17 We video called each other.
29:18 In 2020, the pandemic was really bad.
29:21 We video called each other.
29:23 We even drank together.
29:25 Even if we weren't that close,
29:28 we got to know each other during the pandemic.
29:31 We were worried.
29:33 We said, "If we see each other,
29:35 we'll still be this close."
29:36 When we were fitting our costumes,
29:39 when we saw each other,
29:40 surprisingly,
29:41 we've known each other for a long time
29:43 because we've been video calling each other for a long time.
29:45 Wow. Wait, who's the one who started the video call?
29:48 That's a great idea.
29:49 Miguel. It was really Miguel.
29:52 He was the one who made us laugh
29:54 when he was the leader at the time.
29:56 So until the off-cam,
29:58 he was the one who said,
29:59 "Yes, let's see each other."
30:02 So he really did that
30:03 so that when it came to taping,
30:05 there's no need for more than a few people.
30:07 There's really no need.
30:08 I think it's really effective
30:10 because we're not the only one.
30:12 The whole GOLTES team,
30:14 including Martin, Lizelle, and La Christa,
30:17 all of us,
30:18 we really make sure that there's no need for everyone.
30:22 Oh my, that's so nice.
30:24 That's why my idea is,
30:26 until you all grow old,
30:29 you can be each other's ninas.
30:31 To your children, and stuff.
30:34 And maybe, Matt,
30:38 you can sing at all weddings.
30:40 I can. I can. I can.
30:42 You can, right?
30:44 Hey, Matt, I'm so happy
30:47 that we had a chance to talk like this.
30:50 That we can have you on our podcast.
30:52 It's so nice because I was really greeting you yesterday.
30:55 I was like, "I haven't interviewed you yet,
30:57 I've already interviewed the others."
30:59 And then, it was really like this.
31:02 We were still together.
31:04 And of course, when I saw you,
31:06 I was so excited.
31:07 I heard that you were watching Miguel's video
31:11 when he was still young.
31:12 Yes.
31:13 Was it an Artangel video
31:15 or did I interview him?
31:16 Artangel.
31:18 Miguel is so cute.
31:22 We were watching it before we talked.
31:25 Really? Yesterday?
31:27 Yes. Before we talked.
31:29 I was showing it to them.
31:31 Jeff said,
31:33 "Miguel has been doing RTS for a long time."
31:36 So I showed it to him.
31:37 And Miguel was so cute.
31:39 "A little."
31:40 That's what I said.
31:42 And I was surprised.
31:43 I was in front of you.
31:45 We were really surprised.
31:46 It was so cute.
31:48 Miguel's face was so round.
31:50 And he was still young.
31:51 It was so funny.
31:53 It was like we were destined to be together today.
31:57 Before we end,
31:59 there's a surprise game for you.
32:02 A surprise for the two of us.
32:04 I'll read the game first
32:06 because it's a surprise.
32:07 The title of this game is so cute.
32:11 Voltus Team, Voltus Tea, as in "Chismis."
32:14 In other words, you'll just chismis your teammates.
32:18 Your castmates.
32:20 You can do this.
32:22 We won't say that you're the one who's vulgar.
32:24 But it's in the interview.
32:26 It's simple.
32:27 I'll ask you, "Who in the Voltus Team is..."
32:30 Then you'll answer.
32:31 Okay.
32:32 Who in the Voltus Team is the most annoying or prankster?
32:35 Prankster?
32:36 Steve.
32:37 Miguel.
32:38 Miguel is the leader prankster.
32:41 Yes.
32:42 Because he's the leader.
32:44 He uses his leadership to prank us all.
32:47 Did he get pranked?
32:49 It's hard for Miguel to prank.
32:51 I'm the one who gets pranked most of the time.
32:54 Oh, so you're always the victim.
32:56 Okay, let him be.
32:59 If you want to prank him, we'll help you.
33:01 Nox.
33:02 Next question.
33:05 Who in the Voltus Team is the first one to set?
33:08 Oh, Miguel.
33:09 Really?
33:10 That's applicable because even if you're locked in,
33:12 you'll still travel to the set, right?
33:15 You don't travel to the set at the same time, right?
33:17 Yes.
33:18 But when we're not locked in,
33:21 Mati, Miguel, and Isabel are always the first ones.
33:26 And sometimes, Raff Raff.
33:27 Sometimes, Raff Raff is the first one.
33:31 So Miguel and Isabel are always the first ones
33:34 because they always arrive at the same time?
33:36 Sometimes.
33:37 Sometimes?
33:38 There, Voltus Team is in chismis.
33:42 Okay, who in the Voltus Team is the best at memorizing lines?
33:47 Oh, Raff Raff.
33:49 He's really good.
33:50 Really?
33:51 The lines he gives are amazing.
33:54 There are scientific terms.
33:57 Sometimes, on the spot, he gives them to Raff Raff.
34:01 We're surprised because his lines are so long
34:03 and he memorizes them right away.
34:05 Wow, he has a photographic memory.
34:08 He's really amazing.
34:10 Of course, he's the youngest and he's the fastest at memorizing.
34:13 Yes.
34:14 Next, who in the Voltus Team always has food on their set?
34:17 It's still Raff Raff.
34:18 He shares.
34:19 Yes, Raff Raff always has two bags.
34:23 One bag is full of food, the other is full of costumes.
34:26 He shares all of that with us.
34:28 Wow, what are his bags?
34:30 What do you always ask for when he has a bag?
34:32 He has chocolates. He has a lot of chocolates.
34:35 Then, he has chips.
34:37 He has a lot of chocolate drinks.
34:41 Wow, that's delicious.
34:43 One whole bag.
34:44 Oh, wait.
34:45 Raff Raff told us that he has a favorite nugget.
34:48 One time, he had 200 nuggets on his set.
34:51 Is that right?
34:52 Something like that?
34:54 Yes.
34:55 Because a lot of people laugh at Raff Raff.
34:57 Miguel is the one who usually orders and gives free food to everyone.
35:01 So, that's one of Little John's requests.
35:04 And then, he comes again.
35:06 That's cute.
35:08 He said he shares.
35:10 Next, who in the Voltus Team is the most messy?
35:14 The one who sleeps a lot?
35:15 Oh, it's Radson.
35:17 I feel like it's Radson.
35:20 Radson embraces being Mark Gordon.
35:24 So, sometimes, when he sleeps a lot, he's like that.
35:26 Because sometimes, he's in jail.
35:28 He's in a dressing room and sometimes, he's in jail.
35:31 So, he's like, "Where's Radson?"
35:33 Then, we see him and we're like, "Oh, he's sleeping."
35:34 Maybe he's always tired.
35:37 Because when we talked to him, he said that he's alone now.
35:41 It's like he's gone.
35:42 Yes.
35:43 So, maybe he's tired from cleaning and cooking.
35:46 When he comes to the set, he's sleeping.
35:49 Next, who in the Voltus Team is the easy to get angry with?
35:53 The easy to get angry with?
35:54 Maybe it's Isabel.
35:56 She's the only one who gets angry with a girl.
35:58 So, she's the one who always gets angry.
35:59 So, she's not the one who's always picking on.
36:02 But, you know, she gets angry with us boys.
36:07 She always gets angry with us.
36:09 I imagine that you're in high school.
36:12 So, all boys and then there's a girl.
36:14 Then, you'll tease the girl.
36:16 Who's the most talkative?
36:19 The most talkative?
36:20 Oh, all of us.
36:22 All of us are talkative.
36:23 But the one who can't tell secrets is Rap Rap.
36:27 Because if you tell Rap Rap, the whole Voltus Team will know.
36:31 So, he's the messenger and bearer of all news.
36:36 Yes.
36:37 He can be a reporter.
36:38 Next, this is the last one.
36:42 Who's the quietest or shy type?
36:45 Radzon.
36:46 He's really quiet.
36:48 Maybe because he's sleeping.
36:51 Radzon is really like...
36:53 Mark Gordon is not that far from him.
36:57 Because there's a time when he's quiet.
37:00 He's alone on the side.
37:01 Then, when he's okay, he'll come closer.
37:04 He'll tease you again.
37:05 Something like that.
37:06 But Radzon is really quiet and mysterious.
37:10 At least, you put "mysterious".
37:14 Oh, my. Thank you, Matt.
37:17 Thank you for being so game
37:19 in your gossiping.
37:22 It's not really gossiping.
37:24 It's like you're slumboxing.
37:26 But thank you also for sharing with us your stories.
37:30 Thank you for sharing with us.
37:32 Before we wrap things up,
37:34 maybe you want to invite them to watch Voltus 5,
37:36 which is still on air.
37:38 The story of Voltus 5 is not yet finished.
37:40 And where can they find you on social media?
37:43 There you go.
37:44 Mark Lozano here,
37:45 aka Big Bert Armstrong.
37:47 I invite you all to watch Voltus 5 Legacy.
37:49 It's on air at 8 p.m. after 24 hours.
37:52 Every night, Monday to Friday.

38:00 It's the same.
38:01 Thank you so much, Miss Pia.
38:04 Thank you, Matt.
38:06 Thank you.
