00:02 - Last night, Tyler Glass now after two weeks off,
00:06 comes back and picks up exactly where he left off
00:09 in the month of July.
00:10 Another quality start, another victory yesterday
00:13 against the Giants again, 10 to two in favor of Tampa.
00:17 A five and a half game advantage for the Rays
00:20 for the top spot in the American League wildcard
00:22 at this moment.
00:24 The Giants, Joe, were that top NL wildcard team
00:27 about a week and a half ago.
00:28 Now they're holding on.
00:30 They only have a game and a half advantage
00:32 to be in the wildcard.
00:33 They're only a half game up on Miami
00:36 for the second of three wildcard spots
00:39 of the Giants have dropped seven other last 10 games.
00:42 - Yeah, I mean, listen,
00:44 and I think a Flores was a late scratch in that one too,
00:47 had some sort of a ear infection or something.
00:50 So I'm totally befuddled with the Giants here
00:55 because I have, it's shocking to me, Ben,
00:58 that they were even still relevant
00:59 at this point in the season.
01:01 You want to talk about a team that's playing over their head
01:05 and all year long, it's been them,
01:09 but give them credit, right?
01:10 When teams like, you know, the Padres have faltered,
01:14 the Giants have picked up the slack and they've done it
01:16 because they've beaten the teams they're supposed to beat.
01:20 The problem with the Giants
01:22 is when they play better competition like the Rays,
01:25 they have fallen a little short.
