Cal faces all five ranked Pac-12 teams
Transcript
00:00 It remains to be seen whether it'll be a fond farewell for Cal for the four teams that are
00:06 ranked that are leaving the Pac-12 next season.
00:09 Cal plays all four of them and they play them all pretty much close together in the schedule.
00:17 So it'll be a rough time for the Bears unless they're considerably better than they're predicted
00:22 to be.
00:23 Cal will not be playing unless they schedule some non-conference games.
00:27 Cal will not be playing USC, who is ranked, Utah, which is ranked, Oregon, which is ranked,
00:35 and Washington, which is ranked.
00:36 They won't be playing those schools next year.
00:38 And also they won't be playing UCLA next year as well.
00:41 And Arizona and Arizona State.
00:44 But those teams are not ranked.
00:46 Cal does play Arizona State this year but does not play Arizona and Colorado, which
00:51 were figured to be two of the weaker teams.
00:53 So the schedule did not do Cal any favors in this last season of the Pac-12 as we know
01:00 it.
01:01 Cal, Stanford, Washington State, Oregon State are still fishing around trying to figure
01:06 out where they're going to be next year.
01:07 They're looking for entrance into other conferences.
01:11 The ACC looks like a long shot at this point as four schools are adamantly opposed to inviting
01:17 them and they need at least one of those four to give in and approve the invitation of the
01:24 Bay Area schools, Stanford and Washington, Stanford and Cal, to get into the ACC.
01:30 But it doesn't look like they're going to change their vote anytime soon.
01:35 So those four schools are just looking around trying to figure out what to do.
01:39 But in the meantime, they got to play a Pac-12 schedule this season with all the remaining
01:44 schools participating in the PAC-12 this season.
