00:00 21 Chinese fishing militia was spotted heading to the direction of Pagasa Island
00:05 using the Automatic Identification System or AIS.
00:08 This was seen by Maritime Security Analyst Ray Powell last Friday night.
00:13 According to Powell, these ships helped in the blockade of the Philippine ships on August 5 in Ayungin Shoal.
00:20 The three ships of the China Coast Guard returned to Hainan Island
00:24 and blocked the Philippine resupply mission.
00:27 On the way through the Chinese vessels, the Philippine Coast Guard's BRP Cabra was spotted heading to Pagasa Island.
00:33 We are currently trying to get a statement from the PCG and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
00:38 The militia and the Coast Guard that surged into that area,
00:45 it seems to me were probably there longer than their normal rotation.
00:49 So I think after the mission, they just previously planned for them all to go back.
00:55 I'm not sure what they're going to do if, as has been indicated by the AFP,
01:00 that they do something within the next couple of weeks.
