Average Life Expectancy in Taiwan Dropped Below 80 in 2022

Figures from Taiwan's interior ministry shows that average life expectancy in the country dropped by about a year between 2021 and 2022 to just under 80 years. The drop is attributed to excess deaths caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
