00:00 - Senior year, me and Gina together,
00:01 musicals gonna be the best.
00:03 - Here's a sneak preview of our show.
00:05 - High school musical three.
00:08 - Yeah, I definitely don't think anyone,
00:11 except for the fans, anticipated this relationship
00:15 between Ricky and Gina.
00:16 I mean, for me, I didn't.
00:18 I didn't see it coming, necessarily.
00:20 I knew that there was something there
00:21 and that it was always underlying,
00:23 even within season two and season three.
00:25 After season one, we first see them together,
00:27 but not until that kiss at the end of season three
00:31 did I realize like, oh, okay,
00:33 the writers are really pursuing this storyline.
00:35 And so I think it will be really exciting for fans
00:37 to see season four and what that potential brings
00:41 for their relationship and for them as individuals,
00:44 because I know people have been wanting this relationship
00:46 to be canon for a really long time.
00:49 - I don't wanna hear everyone's opinion about us,
00:51 so what if we kind of stayed a secret?
00:54 - A secret relationship.
00:55 - With a musical and a movie, it's gonna be a lot.
00:58 - Their secret relationship, I think that adds
01:01 such a cool level to their dynamic,
01:04 because while they probably want to be holding
01:07 each other's hands in public and hugging
01:10 and doing what couples do, they can't,
01:12 because they want to keep it special just between them.
01:15 But whether or not they keep it a secret for long,
01:19 I think that will be up to the viewers to find out
01:22 on August 9th on Disney+.
01:24 - There's a lot of drama that I think occurs
01:27 due to the fact that their relationship is a secret.
01:29 And that's always interesting to see.
01:32 - I don't know if I'm ready for this.
01:34 - You're a star.
01:34 - Action!
01:35 ♪ Now or never ♪
01:36 - Many of you know me as Coach Bolton
01:38 from the High School Musical franchise.
01:40 Folks, we're getting the whole gang back together
01:42 to make High School Musical 4 right here at East Time.
01:45 (audience cheering)
01:47 - Wait, we're still gonna do High School Musical 3, right?
01:49 - Why wouldn't we?
01:50 This movie has nothing to do with us.
01:53 - Yeah, being with OGs was incredible.
01:55 We've had a lot of them come on the show individually
01:58 throughout the series,
01:59 but having them all in one room together was so exciting.
02:02 Just seeing their dynamic with one another
02:04 and how they've all remained so close
02:06 and really grown together as a unit,
02:08 even though they've all also gone off
02:10 and done a lot of individual things,
02:12 I think that gives me a lot of hope for our cast,
02:14 knowing that even though the series is over,
02:17 we will still be in each other's lives afterwards
02:19 and we'll still be able to support
02:20 and champion each other on,
02:22 no matter what we end up doing.
02:24 - Can we expect a cameo from Olivia or maybe just a song?
02:27 - Yeah, I don't know.
02:28 I guess you'll have to see.
02:29 - We have a special visitor meeting us
02:31 in the rehearsal room.
02:32 - Corbin's on the clock.
02:35 - Mr. Bluh.
02:36 - And some friends.
02:37 - Hey, Wildcat!
02:38 - We want the fourth movie to feel authentic.
02:40 - So we need you to be featured extras.
02:43 (girls screaming)
02:44 - I definitely think doing High School Musical 3
02:48 as the musical for East High is super exciting for Gina
02:51 and whether she gets the role of Gabriella,
02:54 we don't know yet,
02:55 but I think it'll be really exciting to figure that out.
02:58 - After years of buildup, we're finally here.
03:01 Senior year.
03:02 - I'm a junior.
03:03 - And you're gonna stay a junior with that attitude, Carla.
03:06 - I think it's really difficult for her to say goodbye
03:08 to the seniors at East High
03:11 because we have quite a few members of the cast
03:13 whose characters are seniors this season.
03:16 And I personally know many people in my life
03:19 who are also seniors in high school
03:21 and that's really hard to say goodbye to those people
03:23 because they're now entering this new chapter
03:26 and you have to stay behind.
03:27 And they might outgrow you,
03:29 you might be able to remain with them,
03:31 but it's just hard to say goodbye to the people we love.
03:34 And I think that will be really difficult for Gina.
03:37 We all were able to go through our racks of clothes
03:39 throughout the entire series.
03:41 So I got to, I basically kept everything on my rack,
03:44 honestly, because a lot of the stuff from season one,
03:46 I was a kid, it doesn't fit me anymore.
03:49 But I wanted to keep it for the nostalgia of it.
03:53 There's so many iconic outfits that Gina wore.
03:55 And also now, from season three and season four,
03:59 a lot of the outfits that Gina wore,
04:00 I just wear on a regular basis 'cause they're super cute
04:03 and it feels like I'm always able to carry Gina with me
04:06 wherever I go.
04:06 (upbeat music)
04:12 you
