00:00 >> Play back home obviously you're from that Dayton area.
00:02 Do you have a lot of family and friends coming to support you on Monday night?
00:05 >> Yeah, I reached out to a lot of people and just watching the TBT,
00:09 all the other games and seeing Louisville's crowd, trying to get a huge crowd for us.
00:14 I know the crowd plays a big part into this tournament, so
00:19 I reached out to a lot of people trying to get them involved.
00:22 >> Currently leading the TBT in scoring, is that something you pay attention to or
00:25 are you just out there balling?
00:27 >> No, not out there, just not paying attention at all.
00:30 Just the flow of the game and just whatever they give me.
00:34 >> Do you kind of approach this tournament as a real opportunity to showcase where
00:38 your game's at on a kind of national, international level where more eyes can
00:41 get on you?
00:42 >> Yes, I mean, at this level, yes, most definitely.
00:47 I feel like playing at my highest level right now and
00:50 being able to showcase what I can do, it helps me.
00:54 So at the higher level, at the NBA, overseas, guys, what I can do.
01:00 >> You're down a few pounds, does that help you?
01:02 Are you moving better or not that you were bad at the first place?
01:06 >> Yeah, I mean, I've been focused on my body a lot over the few years,
01:11 going through the pre-league and going overseas.
01:14 Just learning how to be a pro and taking care of my body.
01:17 >> Who's gonna be added to the team here that you can tell us?
01:21 [INAUDIBLE]
01:24 >> Yeah, we got Keith Williams and Chase Scott.
01:27 Both of them guys, I mean, they know what we want and
01:32 our mindset of the game and what our mentality is as a defense.
01:38 >> This is kind of a reunion of the American Championship team, isn't it?
01:43 >> Yeah, most of it, yeah.
01:45 >> Does that chemistry kind of come right back when you're in the practice gym?
01:50 Obviously, you can't tell from games yet, but
01:52 does it feel like it's easy to get that chemistry back right away from players?
01:56 >> Yeah, I feel like just talking and being able to just have,
02:01 being understandable and just having the whole team on the same note.
02:07 Just having one guy off the same note, it can hurt us, just losing one game.
02:11 We're out of the tournament, so just having everybody on the same note and
02:14 doing what we have to do to win.
02:16 >> Scott talked about the chemistry there from the Tony.
02:19 Just talk about the excitement that you have personally being able to play with
02:22 guys like Chase again come Monday night.
02:24 >> I'm being excited.
02:26 Chase Scott, I know he came in before the tournament even started.
02:30 He actually came in, ran through a few plays and went through a practice with us.
02:36 So I'm going him a lot and it felt good.
02:38 I'm just like, I miss that connection and everything.
02:41 And just talking to Keith and messaging,
02:46 just talking to him about what he needs to do and what we want.
02:50 And telling him what he can do in sport, like the easy way to score on this tournament.
02:56 >> Talk about the message you have for Bearcats fans come Monday.
02:58 Is there a certain message you wanna give to Bearcats fans as you guys make this trip
03:02 to Dayton?
03:03 >> Just be loud and proud of your energy.
03:07 It means a lot to us and it pushes us to play.
03:12 >> What's been the biggest key for the team and maybe you individually in this
03:16 week stretch where you get some time to kind of decompress, relax a little bit and
03:20 then get back at it in a kind of rapid style fashion like you guys were facing
03:24 in the state of regional.
03:26 >> I'd say recovery.
03:28 Recovery and biggest thing, scouting, watching other teams and
03:32 seeing what we can do and what we need to fix and go over.
03:36 >> What does it say about the Cincinnati Brandon program,
03:41 having a team that is pretty much a true alliance to explain so well?
03:44 >> It says a lot, just saying what we brought into the whole thing and
03:50 everybody here is, I mean, most of the some of the guys we have is
03:56 been go to Cincinnati but they all bought in and
03:59 know what Cincinnati is built off of and it means a lot.
04:03 >> You heard from anybody yet over the past three games,
04:06 you've had three really good games.
04:07 I mean, anyone fall on the side, hey, we can maybe use it.
04:11 >> No, I haven't heard from anyone.
04:14 >> As an alumni, talk about how cool it is to walk through this hallway here,
04:19 see all the new signage, the Jordan and the Nike stuff.
04:21 Talk about that excitement there as an alumni.
04:23 >> Well, I wish I was still here to be able to wear Jordan and
04:27 stuff my years, Under Armour and everything.
04:30 It's definitely, it looks nice here.
04:32 It's gonna be definitely, I mean, I already told Coach Stim,
04:36 I'm gonna need some Jordan stuff and it looks really good here.
04:39 >> When you look at the chemistry you and Jacob have on the court,
04:45 what is kind of the precipice of that?
04:47 What's the base of that where you guys can really drive an offense and
04:51 keep the offense flowing so well between the two of you when you guys are out there?
04:54 >> We're just talking to one another and being on the same page.
04:57 We know either one of us can go off at any time.
05:01 So we're just talking to one another and
05:03 telling each other what we see on the court and just playing the game.
05:07 (gunshots)
