Collin Gosselin Claims Mom Kate Institutionalized Him to Hide Alleged Abuse

00:00 Following Colin Gosselin's bombshell abuse allegations against his mother Kate Gosselin,

00:10 A source tells us that the eight kids just want the drama to go away, saying, "They

00:13 don't want the attention or the fame.

00:15 This is embarrassing for them."

00:17 Now Colin said in an episode of Vice's Dark Side of the 2000 series, "I was starting

00:21 to tell my teachers that my mother was, 'Wait, real quick, can I use the word 'abusive'

00:26 or are they not allowed to use that on air?'

00:29 When a producer asked whether Colin was trying to say your mother was abusive to you, Colin

00:33 said yes, claiming, 'Well, yeah, that's kind of the reason why she sent me away.'"

00:37 "I was starting to tell people what was going on at home and she caught wind of that and

00:44 had to put me somewhere where I wouldn't be able to get the secrets out."

00:48 Now Kate sent Colin to the Fairmount Behavioral Health Institute in 2016 to address his special

00:53 needs.

00:54 He was later moved to another facility in Pittsburgh, at which point he wrote a letter

00:58 to his father, John Goslin, asking for help.

01:00 After Colin got in touch with John, John removed him from the facility, and since 2018, Colin

01:05 and his sister Hannah have been living with their dad.

01:08 Following the documentary, Kate spoke out, saying that Colin received multiple psychiatric

01:12 diagnoses over the years and that his behavior continued after he moved in with his dad.

01:18 John called Kate's accusations false and another way for her to justify her past behavior towards

01:22 Colin.

01:23 Now Colin's sister Maddie did speak out after the documentary and accused her brother of

01:27 physical violence and hate speech.

01:29 She wrote, "I will never allow someone who has exhibited hateful and even violent behavior

01:33 towards others in my life and I refuse to compromise for anyone, even my brother Colin."

01:38 Now according to Hannah, who also spoke out in the documentary, Colin has no communication

01:43 with his siblings.

01:44 A source tells us the kids that live with Kate haven't had much contact with Colin and
