00:00 We've come down today because we have the beautiful weather today.
00:04 There's this amazing beach over there, beautiful shops, very friendly people.
00:12 My aunts do really like it.
00:13 Beautiful surroundings, even the drive here is beautiful.
00:17 And it's just really lovely to come here again and again, even in winter when the weather
00:21 is bad.
00:22 Forthcrawl is one of those places that can do a bit of everything.
00:26 It's perfect for day trips for people around South Wales, proper holidays with plenty of
00:30 sights and hotels around, and even locals get to enjoy the beach, the sun, and of course
00:35 the fish and chips.
00:36 At Tickle Bay you can go surfing, you can take your dog, you can take your children,
00:40 you can spend all day here, have your food, have cafes, fish and chips, I mean everything
00:46 here, hotels, guest houses, it's just lovely.
00:49 Super.
00:50 Beautiful.
00:51 Super.
00:52 I moved down here three years ago, four years ago.
00:55 I moved down here in 1995.
00:56 And six.
00:57 And now we're together.
00:58 It's the fact that we both live within walking distance of the sea, so it's lovely to think
01:05 when you get up in the morning, you have your breakfast, you go out of the door, and you
01:09 can just go straight down to the sea and have a coffee, regardless of the weather.
01:14 It doesn't matter what the weather's like, you just dress for it.
01:17 I'm down here visiting family from Wrexham, North Wales, and it's my first visit to Forthcrawl.
01:21 Beautiful.
01:22 I've got the sunshine with me, so I look forward to catching up with my son a bit later, and
01:28 lovely granddaughter, and perhaps spending a bit of time on the beach later.
01:32 Ah, lovely.
01:33 Actually, the weather's nice now.
01:34 It's a bit cold for us, hence we've got long sleeves on, because we've come from our winter,
01:38 but your summer is quite cool for us.
01:41 Yeah.
01:42 But it's lovely here now that it's open.
01:45 We came here the other night and everything was shut, so it looks much better during the
01:48 day when everything's open.
01:50 So, yeah, I'm kind of looking at Forthcrawl, thinking to myself, well, this has got something.
01:56 It's got something for everybody.
01:58 You know, it's got your holiday resort, it's got your beaches, which are beautiful, you've
02:03 got your horse ride and all that.
02:05 You've got just about everything here, so, you know.
02:07 But that's what I like about Forthcrawl.
02:09 It's got a bit of everything.
02:11 Plus, I've got my dogs, so the dog makes me come out every day.
02:15 But even in the winter.
02:16 It's lovely.
02:17 It's nice down here because the sea is amazing.
02:20 It's always there.
02:22 You know, it's always, and some of the waves, and you know, I find it just fascinating sitting
02:28 here.
02:29 It's therapeutic as well, isn't it?
02:30 Oh, it's brilliant.
02:31 I wouldn't live anywhere else, honestly.
02:34 People are nice, they always talk to you.
02:37 I mean, I didn't know many people, but now I can walk down the street, "Hi, Angel, how's
02:41 it going?"
02:42 You know.
02:43 And just sit down, have a cup of tea or coffee.
02:47 You know, where else would you want to live?
02:50 You could keep Spain and all that.
02:53 Forthcrawl is just one of so many fab holiday spots here around Wales.
02:57 When the weather's like it is today, who needs a holiday abroad, eh?
