The family and friends of a young mum killed in a "triple fatal crash" have spoken about their tragic loss. They've also expressed appreciation for a good samaritan who tried to help her and their sadness that he also died in the horrific accident.

00:00 In the early hours of Friday morning, two mums were killed on the Sunshine Coast, as well as a 65-year-old man who tried to help.
00:10 25-year-old Gypsy Satterley is believed to have flagged down his car, which police allege was then pursued by her boyfriend, Rafferty Rolf, and rammed.
00:20 My thoughts and sympathies are with the families and the community of those who have died. This is a heartbreaking incident.
00:27 Rolf was the sole survivor of the shocking three-car pile-up and is in hospital with head injuries and under police guard.
00:35 In a statement to ABC News, Gypsy Satterley's family say, "They are absolutely devastated over this horrendous crash and send their deepest condolences to everyone impacted by this tragedy."
00:48 They say Gypsy was a kind soul and a mother of two beautiful little girls.
00:53 Ms Satterley's family also say they're very appreciative of the man who stopped to help her. He's a hero in their eyes and deserves a medal.

01:09 38-year-old alpaca farmer Jessica Townley was also killed after the car Ms Satterley was a passenger in crossed lanes and slammed into hers.
