Aboriginal Heritage Act takes effect in WA

Aboriginal people in Western Australia will now have a statutory role in managing and protecting their local cultural heritage as new laws come into effect. After years of debate though, confusion remains as to how these laws will be implemented in regions where native title has not been determined.
