Multilingual chatbot to help prevent money being stolen

Cyber security experts at Macquarie University in Sydney are using AI to combat scammers in a bid to save punters billions of dollars a year. A multi-lingual chat-bot has been designed to keep scammers engaged on long fake calls in a bid to put a dent in the estimated 55 billion dollars people lose to thieves each year. Named Apate, after the Greek goddess of deception the system uses convincing voice clones to have conversations with scammers.
