00:09 The small town in western Uganda is in shock after suspected extremists from across the
00:14 border in the Democratic Republic of the Congo attacked a local secondary school.
00:20 37 of the dead were students.
00:23 "The family lost two of them who are dead.
00:31 One is still in the hospital who was beaten by a hammer on the head."
00:38 Police patrolled the streets of the town just two kilometres from the border.
00:43 The attack has been blamed on the allied democratic forces which has been fighting against the
00:47 Ugandan government for 25 years and which has links with the Islamic State group.
00:52 The vicious attack, where students were hacked with machetes and burned alive, has left people
00:58 here stunned.
00:59 "People are psychologically crippled and emotionally bleeding.

01:13 One local official said that the desperate situation called for desperate measures.
