00:00 hello namaste salaamwalekum satsriyakaal;
00:06 welcome back to another session of cooking with technology using Philips
00:10 where each one of you can be super chef
00:14 we all love snacks for tea time but there are certain times you want to have
00:23 a sweet bite and that is kind of cakes that are specially suited for tea time
00:28 and today I'm going to show you how to make fruit cake for the tea time snack
00:33 but I'm going to use Philips air fryer for that but first let me use the
00:39 Philips hand blender to cream the butter and sugar so before I added the powdered
00:46 sugar in this I'm going to cream it cream the butter you know keep the butter
00:53 in the room temperature for at least 20 minutes then the butter will become soft
00:58 and you will be able to cream it so now the butter is nicely creamed in this I'm
01:06 going to add you know powdered sugar so add very little by little and cream it
01:13 ok life to be easy by using the gadgets so keep adding the sugar and cream it
01:22 nicely see the beauty of using the technology is you know if you do it with
01:28 hand it will never come out so nice but here just in two minutes look at the
01:33 cream you know fluffy and white in this we're going to add first some vanilla
01:39 essence ok and also I'm going to add two eggs so add little at a time ok do not
01:47 add everything together just add little and you know do it at the lowest
01:52 possible speed
01:54 ok this way the mixture will not curdle and you know if you have big eggs
02:00 because here I've taken 100 grams of butter, 100 grams of powdered sugar, we're
02:06 going to take 100 grams of flour, 100 grams of egg so if you have a small eggs
02:10 sometimes it's going to be 3 eggs if you have a large eggs we're going to add 2
02:14 so here I've got large eggs so I've just taken 2 so add some more of the egg and
02:19 follow till the entire egg mixture is done
02:22 now you know once this mixture is all mixed so we're going to you know let
02:31 this sit on the side and we're going to take 100 grams of flour in this 100
02:37 grams of you can add dry fruits tutti frutti in this also we're going to add
02:41 little bit of caraway seeds you know they look like shahi jeera but not you
02:46 know caraway seeds have nice sweet aroma that is specially used in for baking
02:51 you can also add pinch of ginger powder some cinnamon powder and pinch of baking
02:57 powder all of this into the flour
03:00 first we're going to mix all of this so that they're equally distributed see the
03:05 another reason why we added the dry fruits also in this the tutti frutti
03:09 because if you don't coat this with the flour the way I'm doing sometimes they
03:14 go and sit at the bottom but when the flour is added they settle well and then
03:18 when you cut your cake the dry fruit will be evenly distributed so just make
03:24 sure you mix it nicely in this we're going to add all this flour because we're
03:31 making the small quantity I'm just going to cut and fold
03:34 so basically just cut it and fold it so this way you know the aeration whatever
03:42 was done little bit you know this is not like we beat the egg white separately or
03:46 anything but still some of the aeration from the creaming of fat will be intact
03:52 so just mix this and look at this in a fraction of you know four or five cuts
03:59 this is all mixed up we're going to pour this mixture into a mold make sure that
04:04 the mold sits in your fryer tray easily I'm going to preheat the fryer at 180
04:09 degrees centigrade for three minutes and I'm going to put this cake mixture into
04:13 the mold with the liner so that it comes off easily so preheat for three minutes
04:20 and transfer this mixture into the cake mold once the air fryer is preheated so
04:26 I'm going to pull the basket out just give the mixture a nudge and then we're
04:32 going to place it in and this goes inside for around 15 minutes but what I
04:41 would tell you is put it first at 12 minutes and then check it and if you
04:45 need another 2-3 minutes but we're going to do the cake test method before we
04:50 finish it so here 12 minutes at 180 degrees centigrade after 15 minutes
04:56 pull out the basket and if it comes clean and our cake is all done so we're
05:05 going to you know pull it out and put it on a tray so that it cools down and this
05:12 is all ready and perfect so you know it is so versatile the air fryer you can
05:18 you know nicely bake cakes you can barbecue you can grill you can fry so
05:24 many things you know all of those in such a beautiful package so I'm going to
05:29 let this cool down and sprinkle little sugar cut it and enjoy it with tea
05:33 the awesome fruitcake is all ready and just we're going to sprinkle some that's
05:39 ok haha some of the icing sugar on top this icing sugar is good now you know
05:47 look at this so perfect and so good enjoy this with tea or just as is hmm
05:55 wow too good
05:59 this is all about cooking with technology be smart move ahead cook with
06:05 Philips air fryer enjoy life
06:07 Innovation and you, Philips
