00:00 Coffee break with me.
00:02 Woo!
00:03 Hi guys!
00:04 Welcome back to my channel.
00:05 How are you today?
00:06 Today I'm here with a very important video which is why I'm sitting here in all my glory.
00:12 Today I want to talk to you guys about my daytime skincare routine.
00:15 My skincare routine was never something that was on my mind or that I thought about constantly.
00:21 I just was aware of needing sunblock and things like that and eye cream.
00:27 But I never...
00:31 I guess it wasn't as important to me as it is now where I'm, you know, my 30th birthday
00:36 is around the corner, I keep getting emails about anti-aging products, and I'm having
00:43 breakouts, like hormonal breakouts, which is so bizarre.
00:45 So since I've been using these products consistently for, I would say, a little bit less than a
00:52 month, I wanted to share an updated skincare routine because I feel confident in the results
00:59 that it's given me.
01:01 These are things that I have used and I've actually paid attention to see if they work
01:05 or not.
01:06 And I can only tell you that when I wake up in the morning, my face feels... it just feels
01:14 really great.
01:15 It feels healthy.
01:16 So obviously when I have good news to share, my pandas are some of the first that I want
01:20 to share and scream it from the rooftops.
01:21 As always, all the products that I mention will be listed in the description box below
01:25 in case you have any questions.
01:27 So let's go ahead and get started.
01:28 First thing we're going to do is cleanse our face, and I like to use the Foreo Mini.
01:34 I was lucky enough to get this as a sample to try out, and I told you guys a couple weeks
01:38 ago that I wanted to try it, so it was like perfect timing.
01:41 The reason I like this product is because it's a skin cleaning device or cleansing device,
01:47 but it is a much gentler alternative than those that have bristles.
01:53 This one has the rounded silicone, like I call them nubbins, but they're touch points.
02:00 And they kind of remind me of little tiny fingers.
02:02 So this just reminds me of if you were using your own fingers to wash your face.
02:07 It's one of those things that are definitely a luxury, but I also like that it's so easy
02:12 to use.
02:13 It tells you how long to stay in each area, and I don't know, it's pretty cool.
02:18 I also like that it has a USB charger, so I could basically charge it anywhere.
02:25 Not that I need to charge it very often, but I mean, in case you were...
02:28 This is kind of turning into a Foreo review, isn't it?
02:31 So anyway, I use this to cleanse my face, and the cleanser that I use is, I've said
02:36 it before, the Purity Made Simple Cleanser.
02:39 So all I do is I wet my face, I apply a thin layer of cleanser, and then I use my Foreo.
02:45 What I'm going to do is I'm going to show you guys just a really quick way of how I
02:49 wash my face.
02:50 It's really simple with this Foreo Mini, because it kind of tells you what area of your face
02:54 to go to next, so you don't really stay on it too long.
02:58 This is just a wet towel that I'm using, because obviously I'm not in front of a sink.
03:02 So what I do is I take a little bit of my Purity, I put that on my face, my cheeks,
03:08 my forehead, down my nose, my chin, and a little bit on my neck, just like that.
03:15 And then I take my Foreo.
03:17 The cool thing about this is it tells you when to go to a different area of your face,
03:21 so there's no way to abuse your skin or to overuse it.
03:24 So you push this little button that it has right here, and then you start at one side
03:28 of your face, you move to the other, and then I like to do...
03:31 I do one cheek, and then I move to the center, then I do the other cheek, and then my forehead.
03:36 And then I like to take a couple more seconds on my neck, because I told you guys I've been
03:40 having some issues.
03:41 So I don't know if you guys can hear it.
03:44 So I start here, and I kind of do long, circular motions.
03:50 I don't like to do too little circular motions, because they say that over time that's supposed
03:55 to cause wrinkles.
03:56 I don't know, but...
03:57 Did you guys hear that?
03:58 The pulsation changed, so it's telling you, "Hey, Dani, move on to a different area of
04:03 your face."
04:06 The cool thing about this, too, it has these weird sonic pulsations.
04:10 I think they're called T-sonic pulsations.
04:13 So what it does is the way it pulsates on your face, it brings all the dirt, impurities,
04:20 and excess oils to the surface.
04:24 So it kind of gives you like a mini facial.
04:28 Brings all that gunk and grime to the surface.
04:30 And it's a really short routine.
04:32 It's literally only a minute.
04:33 Once you pass the minute, it gives you three buzzes, and the light turns on at the bottom.
04:38 So it's telling you, "Hey, you know what?
04:40 You've already used me for a minute.
04:42 You're done.
04:43 Don't keep using it."
04:44 And the light will stay on as long as you use it.
04:46 Almost like a reminder.
04:47 Like, "Hey, you've already used me for a minute.
04:49 Chill out.
04:50 Put me down.
04:51 Set me down, girlfriend."
04:52 Then after I'm done with my Foreo routine, I think it's one minute long exactly, I rinse
04:57 my face with cool water.
04:58 I rinse my Foreo with cool water, and I'm done with this.
05:02 Now I can move on to toner, serum, and moisturizer, which are very, very, very important.
05:07 I like to use toner.
05:09 A lot of people say you don't need it, but large pores run in my family.
05:14 So if I could use a product that's going to close my pores faster with the product than
05:20 if I just let them hang out, then I want to do that to prevent any dirt or excess grime
05:24 or makeup from getting into my pores.
05:28 So I like to use the Shiseido Facial Cotton.
05:30 I talked about this in one of my favorites.
05:32 I really like this cotton.
05:33 And then I also use a toner from Mary Kay.
05:37 This toner, I would tell you guys which one it is, but it is discontinued.
05:43 So I was lucky enough to buy a couple before they discontinued it, so I have backup, but
05:51 I don't know what I'm going to do when I run out.
05:53 And I don't like to go over and over and over and over with toner because it can be astringent
05:57 and a little bit rough on your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin.
06:01 So I just do a couple swipes on my chin and then my cheeks, upward motion like that.
06:07 My chin, once around my nose, and then my forehead.
06:11 And that's it.
06:12 Move on to serum.
06:13 The serum that I've been happy with because it's a little bit more affordable than the
06:17 one I was using, and I like it better.
06:19 I feel like it actually makes a difference.
06:22 I was using a really expensive one that was like $70, and I just didn't feel like it was
06:27 doing anything for me, and I started to get really frustrated.
06:29 This is the Good Start Serum, and it's from LaFresh.
06:33 You guys have heard me talk about LaFresh before because I'm obsessed with their wipes,
06:37 their nail polish wipes and their face wipes.
06:39 So I just take a little bit on my hands, and I apply this in areas where I think anti-aging
06:45 is important.
06:46 I like this serum because it is a natural serum.
06:49 It comes with a dropper, so it's a little bit more hygienic, and it's natural.
06:55 So if something can help me with anti-aging and is natural, I'm going to be all about
07:01 it.
07:02 So I just like to put it in this area here, on my chin, down my neck, and then on my forehead.
07:06 After serum, I kind of let it hang out a little bit, so I move on to my eye cream.
07:11 And you guys, if you have been pandas for a long time, you know how I feel about eye
07:17 cream.
07:18 I have ranted about hating eye cream for a really long time, that it doesn't make a difference.
07:23 I have a little patch of dry skin on this eye in the inner corner.
07:28 It's not ... In my videos, people are like, "That's not dry skin.
07:32 Those are eye boogers."
07:33 I'm like, "No, honey.
07:34 It's my eyelid."
07:35 I literally have ... That corner of my eyelid was dry.
07:39 It was dry.
07:40 It was hard and crunchy.
07:41 It was weird.
07:42 So I searched and searched and searched for a different eye cream, something that would
07:45 actually work, and I finally found one.
07:47 This is the Dermadoctor Wrinkle Revenge Eye Balm.
07:51 I discovered this on accident at Sephora.
07:54 One of the associates recommended it to me, and when I saw balm, I was like, "Oh, God.
07:58 It's going to be one of those eye moisturizers that are thick and greasy and don't ever sink
08:04 in and they're just oily and a mess."
08:06 But it's not.
08:07 It really feels like it gets absorbed.
08:10 It's a really nice, light product, and it was developed by ophthalmologists and dermatologists,
08:16 so you could put it all over your eye area.
08:19 It's not one of the ones that you just put down here.
08:21 You put it on your eyelid, on your eyebrow, all the way down to the top of your cheekbone.
08:26 They had me at cheekbone.
08:28 So what I do is I take a little bit on my middle finger.
08:31 I know you're supposed to use your ring finger, but my middle finger's bigger and my eyes
08:36 are very big.
08:37 So I take a little bit on my middle finger and I apply it on my eyelid and all the way
08:42 around, and then I just kind of pat it in.
08:47 It doesn't have a strong scent.
08:50 It feels very nourishing on the skin around your eyes, and it doesn't...
08:56 Have you guys ever tried any moisturizers or eye creams, especially balms, that once
09:01 you apply your makeup, they kind of roll up like little flaky things?
09:06 Oh, I hate that.
09:07 This one doesn't do that.
09:09 It literally just feels really good.
09:12 It's getting absorbed into the skin.
09:14 It feels wonderful.
09:15 By the way, normally I don't harass my face that long.
09:18 I just do my routine.
09:19 Okay, and then we have to move on to moisturizer.
09:23 And I've actually really liked this moisturizer.
09:25 I hate the presentation.
09:27 I absolutely hate it, but again, it is anti-aging.
09:31 It has botanicals and it is natural, so I really like using it.
09:35 And this is Good Day, again, from LaFresh.
09:38 It's part of the routine.
09:39 They do have a night cream, but I don't like using that one.
09:42 So I do like the day cream.
09:44 It's emollient enough to moisturize your skin, but it's not greasy or heavy.
09:49 And you could still layer on primer and foundation and powder and all that stuff, and it doesn't
09:52 feel like you have 75 layers on.
09:55 But I hate that it comes in a jar, like that, you know, dipping your fingers.
10:00 You know how I feel about that.
10:02 So I just take a little tiny bit because I already have the serum.
10:05 Now if you have oily skin or you don't like to moisturize too heavily, you could just
10:11 use the serum as your moisturizer.
10:13 You don't have to do this extra step.
10:15 But I like to help out where I can.
10:19 So if I'm going to stay a little bit younger, man, even if I look three days younger, I'll
10:24 do it.
10:25 I'll do the extra step.
10:27 So I just gently apply that in upward motions on my face and on my forehead.
10:34 It does seem like a lot of layers, but I think that once you get into a routine, it doesn't
10:39 feel like you're doing too many extra steps.
10:42 Now ordinarily, or most people would just stop there, well actually most people would
10:47 just use a serum as a moisturizer, but I like to use sunblock.
10:53 I know it's an additional step.
10:54 I don't know how many steps we already did, but I do like to use sunblock.
10:58 And I like to use a high-grade, thin sunblock that gets absorbed into the skin.
11:03 My favorite is from Clarins, and it's the UV+HP.
11:07 I have these little tiny tubes that I got as a perk at Sephora, so I really like to
11:16 use these just because they're a lot smaller.
11:19 And sunblock expires once you open it.
11:21 So this one is pretty cool because it's really watery and runny, and once you apply it to
11:25 the skin, it vanishes.
11:28 You apply it to your skin and it sinks into the skin, and it leaves your face feeling
11:33 a little powdery.
11:34 So just take a really tiny bit, you see how little I grabbed there, and it covers your
11:39 entire face.
11:40 And you guys know I have a big face.
11:42 You see how silky it is?
11:44 Like my hands just kind of glaze over the top of my skin.
11:48 So that is it for my daytime skincare routine.
11:53 My nighttime routine is very similar, I just use products that are a little bit different,
11:56 so I will also list those in the description box below, along with all the other products.
12:02 I was thinking, because a lot of you mentioned on my Instagram that the Foreo is a little
12:06 bit out of your budget, this might be a good idea for like a Christmas present, maybe you
12:11 can put it on your Christmas wish list, because it is sort of a luxury product.
12:17 But considering other skincare cleansers that are out there, this is probably one of the
12:21 few that I would actually recommend.
12:24 There are other ones with bristles and things like that that I don't feel safe using, and
12:28 this kind of reminds me of a luxury skincare product that is good or helpful, or that all
12:36 skin types can use, from the most sensitive to the most rhino skin, like me.
12:42 I think this is something that most people would enjoy, and it does come in different
12:45 colors, so keep that in mind.
12:46 A couple of tips that I want to leave you with, remember that your skin is your largest
12:52 organ, so anything that you put inside your body is going to show through your skin.
12:56 So having a really good diet, not necessarily meaning you have to go raw vegan, but having
13:02 a good diet, a well-balanced diet, with foods that are high in vitamins A or E, can really
13:09 help out your skin.
13:10 Also drinking a lot of fluids, and definitely getting a lot of sleep at night, if possible.
13:15 I know with a toddler it's not, but as much as possible, those are all things that help
13:20 improve the condition of your skin.
13:23 Always remember to wash your face, no matter how tired you are, because you don't want
13:26 to reap the consequences in the morning.
13:28 So that is it for this video, I really hope you guys enjoyed it.
13:31 Please let me know your thoughts in the comment section below, and as always, if you guys
13:36 found this video useful, entertaining, or learned something, please give me a thumbs
13:39 up, or subscribe if you haven't already, and until next time, this coffee break is over.
13:43 Bye guys!
