00:00 Hey guys, so today I wanted to film an Arab-inspired makeup look because I think that these makeup
00:05 looks are amazing if you want to do something really different for a night out or a special
00:10 dinner.
00:11 It's definitely an evening makeup look.
00:13 It's very kind of heavy on the eyes and tends to be more kind of nude on the lips.
00:18 Today I wanted to do a kind of purply one.
00:21 So I'm going to start with foundation and I'm going to use Revlon Colorstay in Sand
00:25 Beige.
00:26 I really, really like this foundation and I don't have any fake tan on at the moment
00:29 and this is one of the only kind of paler foundations I own so that's why I'm using
00:34 this today.
00:35 So I've just popped some of that onto the back of my hand and I'm going to use my Bobbi
00:38 Brown, what's this called again, Face Blender.
00:40 This is my favourite foundation brush at the moment.
00:43 I put it in my monthly favourites video and if you haven't watched my April favourites
00:47 yet go and watch it.
00:48 I'll link it down in the description box.
00:49 And this is a good colour for me.
00:51 Sorry, I was just checking the colour was okay.
00:54 I'm just going to blend this.
00:57 I say blend it, I guess I'm kind of buffing it all over my skin.
01:02 And I don't put too much on the brush to begin with even though I put quite a lump of foundation
01:07 on my hand, not a lump, whatever you like to call it.
01:10 I just take a small amount of that to buff onto my skin.
01:16 And as I said in my April favourites video, this foundation brush just makes your foundation
01:21 look beautiful.
01:23 It seems to put on just the right amount of foundation and it just makes your skin look
01:29 so flawless.
01:30 Like I don't know if you guys can see but it's starting to look rather nice and quite
01:35 natural as well which I really like.
01:37 Okay, now it's time to do the eyebrows.
01:41 Now because this is an Arab inspired makeup look, I want to do the brows quite strong.
01:45 It tends to be a very strong shape and quite dark.
01:49 I like to start off with a lighter pencil.
01:52 This is Lingering from MAC that's not too too dark.
01:57 And then I can make them darker with some eyeshadow in a minute.
02:00 But if I go straight in with the dark eyeshadow sometimes it can look a bit too much.
02:06 So I'm just kind of softly building up the shape, making them a bit thicker.
02:11 So on this top line here it should be a straight line, almost going up to a point.
02:18 And then from that point you want to come down.
02:20 Okay, so now that I have the shape of the brows in, I'm going to take Mystery Eyeshadow
02:25 which is a dark matte brown from MAC and an angled brush.
02:30 This is a MAC 266 brush.
02:32 And I'm just going to do really feathery kind of strokes throughout the whole brow.
02:38 So doing it this way I then haven't got a block of Mystery Eyeshadow on both eyes.
02:44 Eyes?
02:45 Eyebrows!
02:46 It just looks slightly more natural.
02:50 For the eyes you want to start with a creamy eyeshadow as a base.
02:52 I'm going to use By Terry Shadow Stick in the colour Misty Rock.
