Budget will see base rates of JobSeeker payments increase

A boost to JobSeeker payments and billions of dollars in other cost of living help will soon be outlined in tonight's budget. It's also projecting a return to surplus for the first time since the global financial crisis 15 years ago. Treasurer Jim Chalmers insists Labor's economic plan will help vulnerable Australians without adding further to inflation.
