Calls for greater legal protection for transgender people

There are calls for Australian governments to ensure trans people are better protected from hate speech. The past month has seen rallies against transgender rights held in Australian cities. Actress, writer and trans woman Georgie Stone has told the National Press Club there are no national laws to protect trans people from hate speech and vilification.
