Wales headlines 21 March: Drivers could be charged for polluting

Drivers of particularly polluting vehicles could face charges in the future if 50 mile per hour zones fail to combat emissions. The plans, set out in a new law, could make places like the M4 through Newport and A470 through Pontypridd clean air zones. The Welsh conservatives said it was the last thing people needed through the cost of living crisis.

The football association of Wales have said the Red Wall have raised over 22 thousand pounds for a cancer charity through its new membership scheme. The partnership between Y Wal Goch and Tenovus cancer charity means for every new member, £1 will be donated to the charity, who offer life saving care for those with cancer.

Parents in Caerphilly council are concerned of a lack of services for their disabled children, and say the this amounts to indirect discrimination. One parent says during school holidays her son, who has complex needs and autism, has nothing to do and makes her and her family feel isolated.
