Samsung Galaxy S23 Sales Outpace S22 Model

Sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 smartphone have surpassed last year’s S22 model, with consumers opting for the higher-end model. The Galaxy S23 series includes the standard S23, the S23+, and the top-of-the-line S23 Ultra. The S23 Ultra starts at $1,200. Samsung had a rocky year in 2022, in which shipments fell by 15 percent, their worst since 2013. Despite the poor performance, high-end smartphones costing over $800 accounted for 18 percent of the total handset market in 2022, up from 11 percent in 2020.
