This Sunday, a capacity 50,000 crowd with descend on Glasgow’s Southside and the famous Old Lady of Mount Florida behind me as it plays host to the Viaplay Cup Final between two of Glasgow’s arch rivals, rangers and current holders Celtic.

It is the first Old Firm League Cup final since 2012 and with both teams coming into the game on the back of an impressive 13 wins and one draw across all three domestic competitions, something will have to give come 4.45 on Sunday.

Since the tournaments inceptions back in 1946, Rangers boast the historic record for the most amount of wins with 27, while Celtic have a surprising success rate of just 26 per cent.

However, the Parkhead club are bidding for back-to-back triumphs in the competition as they return to the scene of where Ange Postecoglou’s lifted his first trophy as Hoops manager when they beat Hibernian in last season’s final.

But what is such a momentous occasion like a cup final like for local business in and around the stadium. With all eyes on Glasgow this weekend, we spoke to a number of business owners // staff to capture their excitement ahead of Sunday’s big match….
