The "web(self)portrait" project was born in need to "visualize" myself.
I did the first (self)portrait and after that I thought: "Why don't I share it and create an interactive work made by faces, expressions and people from all the world?" In general, "everyday people" see themselves in a certain manner and the mayor part of these can't imagine themselves at all, "Too busy living"... The lens of a camera and our bathroom mirror have the same potential. Both of the objects…speak without speaking! Revealing secrets of our identity and state being in the moment we face them. They give each of us the opportunity to describe, interpret and discover ourselves more profoundly. The motive of my project is clearly this, with a twist! The project develops in two parts. In the first part I asked some artists and musicians to do a self portrait video. The second part instead is a my personal revisitation of the portraits in an artistic sense, so I create a unique but multiplex (self)portrait.
