Today I'm Revealing My Giant Birthmark | SHAKE MY BEAUTY

A PLUS SIZE model is proudly embracing the large birthmark covering her back and torso. Isabella, 20, was born with a giant congenital nevus spanning her body. She explained: "The skin is sensitive to sunlight, and doesn't have any sweat glands. Instead, it has hair follicles." In her younger years, she was self-conscious of her birthmark - which grew as she did - often covering it up under baggy jumpers. But in time, she learned to love the skin she is in, and see the beauty in her uniqueness. "People often think my birthmark is a burn or scar," she said. "I've been told by many people to cover it up, but I don't want to dim my shine for others." In 2021, her confidence reached new heights when she began posting on TikTok, prompting one of her followers to suggest she apply to some modelling agencies. Now, after being signed to Tribe Talent Management, she has posed for shoots and walked the runway in fashion shows. "There was no type of representation for me when I was younger," she said. "It's been really awesome to see how individuals can change things so drastically. I'm really happy that I can be a part of that for others." Today, Truly follows Isabella as she poses for a very special shoot - covering her birthmark in glitter to celebrate it as much as possible. She concluded: "Showing the world my body makes me extremely confident. Growing up, all I wanted was to look like everybody else - but now that I'm older, I am so, so grateful that I don't look like anybody else."
