In the 1971 Indo-Pak War, 4 Horse, equipped with WW II vintage Centurion tanks, spearheaded Indian Army’s advance into the Shakargarh Sector capturing several Pakistan Army positions in villages Bhairo Nath, Thakurdwara, Bari Lagwal, Chamrola, Darman, Chakra and Dehlra and fought fiercely in the famous Battle of Basantar.

Brigadiers Jasbir Singh, BS Butalia and PS Sandhu who participated in that battle agree to share their experiences on SAM Conversation, to mark the 50th Anniversary of the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
